The split missile is done so that means that all the weapons are completed.

Thanks for the info. I've passed it on along with a link to this thread.

I have to say that the split missile launcher looks amazing. I don't know if it's a case of the ROTT sprites translating well to voxels or if you're really talented but all the voxels look great! I really hope all your hard work ends up in a source port!

Looks like my forum account has finally been activated, heh. I'm one of the guys working on the Doom Voxel Project, so it's nice to see similar stuff going on for other games. Really nice work here. I don't think I ever got around to playing ROTT, but by the time I get to it, hopefully these will be included in a playable format.

Sure, the more the merrier. We're happy for all the help we can get. There's a thread here listing all the items that are either finished or in progress. If you want to "claim" a new item to make then just let me know and I'll add you to the list.

The automap pickup? Cool, updated the list. I was tempted to start on the map device, but it has 4 frames of animation and suddenly I felt lazy, heh.

There's a forum for the project here, although it's not all that busy. I also check relevant threads on Doomworld and the ZDoom forums. Or just post it on here if you prefer, I'll keep this thread bookmarked as well.

Alright i finally started working on some ROTT related stuff. I've done most of the work on the flag pole which has taken me about four hours but its going to look nice i'll post it when i'm done.

Ha i haven't got anything in game yet. All Bert gave me was a viewer tool, before he disappeared so i'm just stuck at making models for now.

Still, I suppose the upside is that you've less pressure to rush the models just to get them in game. I really hope all your work won't be for nothing though...

I think ROTT could support voxels. If the port can support models, why not voxels, that are even older than Quake models?

Thought you guys might be interested in this link. Lucius is obviously a very talented coder and he seems quite confident in voxel implementation in DarkXL. Maybe this'll point the way for Birger and JBailey...

Excellent stuff as always. I know this sounds a bit daft but it really does look like a flag. It must be quite difficult to capture the look of a fabric without animation...

Thanks but making a flag look like a flag isn't that hard, making sphere and cylinders out of voxels is.

Anyway, this goes out to anyone who is willing to lend me a hand. I'm having problems ripping ROTTs masked walls with XWE so that i can covert them into voxels. XWE doesn't seem to like ROTTs masked walls and corrupts them. Is there another program that i can use to do this other then XWE?

Move down to the WAD editors section. There are two that might help, Game File Explorer and ROTTMultiTool. I haven't really used these, but perhaps they may be able to rip the files correctly.

Just in case you were having problems with the recent version of strip2vox, there's an updated version here. Some of my models were coming out jumbled, but this new one should fix it.
