I just put it running on a projector during a LAN party at college.
Everybody thought it was incredible.

I must admit, it looks so good on a huge screen.

Why the ***** do people get so freaked out over that scene?

As gamers, we've seen much, much worse.

I just don't see the big deal in it, but then again.. i'm a sadistic s.o.b.

They thought it was brutal, but they still loved it.

That looks actually good, but I'm going to be honest:

It didn't make alot of sense, in that bar for example, why the hell did that space ship take you?
Then, suddenly after like 10 seconds you have a weapon and you're exploring some space station.

The other thing, is that I think that all the animations are "cartoony-like". The enemys attack like they have uberpowers, if they would be able to throw a ball with that speed, the ball would burn up after 10 meters in the air.

Else it looks brilliant! good job 3dr!

And don't forget Human Head Studios. Also as I understand it those aren't connected scenes. The elevator scene is as I understand not rigth after the bar scene.

correct, that was just some stuff from actual gameplay and the only thing those "scenes" have in common is that they come from the same game, they where NOT connected to each other.

I wouldn't be supprised if they where not chronological as well.

Don't fear, I am ure that they come up with a plausible way for you to get a gun.

Yes, I've played it. However you still just picked up a guard's gun, as it is in every other game. In fact weapons were introduced first in the dream level, when a guard shot you with an empty shotgun! Realism? Hah!

Everytime I download it I only get sound, but no picture.

And everywhere I go I get windows media player only.

I'm not a member of IGN, but are they the only place that has the 280MB high res Quick time version?

I mean, there are games where you have to pickup a gun by just hitting the enemy with a crowbar, chroicles of riddick makes it more realistic and fun and exciting by letting you insert your DNA

That's one good thing, when you play the game, you aren't meant to actually remember that, it's created to just impress the player with some visual goodies!

How do you get your first gun? Easy, some redneck left his gun in that pickup truck we see get brought onto the alien ship, and yoiu find it

Since they're sucking up so many times, it's very plausible to think that there might be some things you could use as a weapon that'd be sucked up as well.

just download it off X-stream, you have the internet connection for it now....

and btw, maybe you don't have the correct codecs, maybe the video uses divX I don't know...

Well there's a wrench, so at least SOMETHING got sucked up from Earth you can use as a weapon

Anyways, I don't think we ever really got confirmation that EVERY weapon (other than the wrench) was an alien, organic style weapon. From what we've seen, that does seem to be the case, however

I don't think we have any worries about weapons, 3DR have proved in the past that they are very capable of selecting a good "group of people" for a special type of game and guiding them real well. I have fait that they are doing the same to HH. That game will rock and all the weapons will fit the game.

As for a plausible way of getting a weapons, maybe we "spirit walk" our way through the beginning part of the game in order to get a weapon, or (more likely) we start with a bow and arrows which got sucked up from the bar we begin in.

I must confess I was amazed by the beauty of this game!

Nothing compared to the lowquality video...
