source port w/ the "look and feel" of vanilla DN3D?
Does anyone know of any source ports whose gameplay is identical (or at least similar) to that of vanilla Duke Nukem 3D? The port should work on Windows XP, and preferably Mac OS X. Demo and add-on compatibility with the original game would also be nice. In other words, I'm looking for a Chocolate Doom equivalent of Duke Nukem 3D.
I think JFDuke3D offers the "look and feel" of the original game, but I'm wondering if there are other ports out there that do the same thing. Thanks. |

EDuke32 with 8bit mode setting.
With the latest synthesis builds it's getting closer to the orginal with fading screens like they were in vanila. But there are still other bugs, hence why they are still developmental.

TBH I'm not sure there is a need. If you want vanilla Duke, DosBox works great. It is what I use to play it.
