meat to restore 25% health greens to increase stamina, beer to temporarily increase your fighting ability and he could carry a bottle with him. but a draw back to the beer if you get hit the damage is increased by 20%, and your vision becomes slightly blurred after a period of time.....or other things that help with restoring health, with the engine you are using it could be quite interesting what you could put together in a room...a babe to serve him....
I didn't know that this was an RPG.

I thought it was a kick ass FPS . not playing house, and kitchen .

Dude, you totally have to be able to pick your nose! Man, with full body awareness and everything it'll be so cooool! You'll be able to inspect your finger afterwards and flick the boogers. Boogers will regenerate after a certain amount of time...

You know, interactivity in a game needs to have its limits.

A blow torch

- Makes a good light source
- Would look cool having a flame gushing out of a nozel
- Could burn enemie's eyes so they stand their squirming and shooting blindly
- Would make a nice original weapon to complement duke's foot.

Darn, its already been done before?

I just had a look at "no one lives forever". What on earth is that? I've never heard of it before. Looks random, is it a majour game or a mod or some small developer's pet project? - sorry if thats a little off-topic.

It's a full retail game, and a good one. It also has a sequel.

I'd like to see Duke use the Shrinker Ray on Godzilla and then battle him in a model village or maybe even Legoland.

Eiffel Tower! CRUSH!
The White House! CRUSH!
MacDonalds! STOMP!

And then up the Lego Empire State Building to swat Lego bi-planes.

Or even go the other way round - have an expander ray thing that makes Duke giant for a level/boss battle and he ends up trashing most of the city.

DNF Enviornment usage/effectivity
So what I'm wondering is: Do you think that Duke will be effected by the environment he is in? For example: He is running in dirt and it starts raining and if he keeps running he will slip and fall. Or for usage: If his health is low he can pick plants and eat them to gain back his health

seriously? when have u ever seen in real life, a movie or in a game when someone gets shot, they turn to the nearest shrubbery and start munching, if a soldier came up with that idea im sure he wud be a casualty of friendly fire.

When have you seen someone shoot a toilet or a fire hydrant to break it and then start drinking the water for health?

Some soldiers do get herbalism training, but it's not quite that effective. The training is about survival if trapped in enemy-occupied territory, so it's really about food, water and shelter.

It's stuck in my mind from an autobiography. The trainer was an elderly woman. So you'd have a group of soldiers, all young men, gathered round an old woman in the open land and learning from her. Wind back the clock 10,000 years and get the same thing - warriors of the tribe learning from the wisewoman.

Although grazing at the rhododendrons won't instaheal a hole through your leg

Having said that, most healing mechanisms in games, and most damage ones come to that, are wildly unrealistic. You can't really get shot three times in the legs, carry on as normal and be completely healed by a first aid kit. Crouching behind a crate won't result in near-fatal wounds completely healing in a few minutes. So why not use plants?

It's not that often in movies but somtimes in games. Werent there plants in unreal? And Heavy Metal FAKK2 had plants too.
But we all know Duke only eats fast food to gain health. And there are not too many plants in the desert or in space.

And he never slips and falls!!!

Somehow i cant see this as a functional idea. How about a crater on Mars or some other planet with thick ice covering the whole crater.

It'd be cool if Duke Nukem Forever had something like GeoMod (see Red Faction). That sort of technology seems to match the destruction element of the Duke Nukem series.
