Here's a reworked version of the babe from Master Leap's Throne with the background and black bars removed.
Hopefully this is OK to post, it seams tamer than some of the stuff in the Duke3D forums, but if there are any objections please feel free to remove it as you see fit.

A model would be better but that will have to wait obviously.
I think right now, the babes in SW are actually on the bottom of the list as not even the HUD and weapons are modeled. Of course, with Voxels you don't need models for the pickups...

Re: Shadow Warrior Re-texturing Project
Here are my attempts at tiles 4970-4973. I looked at the originals in GRPview and they looked basically dark rusty color overall so thats what I went with. I checked out my tiles in the game afterwards and found I should have gone with a texture with a little more grey in it to match the surrounding area. But if you think these are usable as-is that's great. If I get a chance some time in the future I will re-do these with a better matching backround texture.

From the looks of things I have the skills to do at least 30 or more tiles.

Should I post them here as I go, or should I wait and release them all at once later on? The reason I ask is if no one is doing much to collect and distribute these right away then there would be no reason to post them as I create them right away. Let me know.

There are some tiles in SW that are duplicates of what I made for Duke 3D HRP. Is it all right just to copy them over to here?
Post them at your leisure. Duplicating tiles is just fine. It has already been done numerous times. The FECES model is just one instance.

I'm pretty sure that for the Propane Delivery sign, #4958, the purple is actually transparency. I might be wrong, though.

Re: Shadow Warrior Re-texturing Project
Sorry for all the deleted posts. After submitting those 17 textures I found out later that at least 7 or 8 of them had already been re-made. Since there is no official list of textures that still need to be made and no way to know where they are used in the game for testing them out I'm going to call it quits for a little while. I'll have to make up my own list by going through the entire game one level at a time to find out which textures still need to be done and where they are used. And then go to those listed places in Build to find out the tile number. Then load up GRPviewer to copy those textures into a folder for viewing and re-making in my graphics program. Its a long boring process that I wish I could skip so I could continue making textures instead.

There are re-runs on TV tonight so I thought I would fire up the graphics program and try making another texture. This is a first draft of the door used in a few places in the first level. You can't see the woodgrains too well in the screen capture pics but they are there. I still need to darken the wood trim and clean up some pixels around the circular area but I thought I would post this anyways just to keep this thread going from time to time.

This panel was also used in Duke3D. It was just the first panel in that game and was one of the textures I made. Here in SW it is animated so I created the extra frames for that and the exploded version. I haven't gotten very far playing the game so I don't know where these show up. I did see them in one of the popular TC's.

Re: Shadow Warrior Re-texturing Project
Here is 222 and 248. Tile 222 is "borrowed" from DN HRP. I greyscaled it and used it also to make part of 230. I have included a screen capture using these 2 textures along with a new Buddah statue. I am waiting to hear back from the "owner" of the statue pic to see if it is OK to use. I will post it later if I get permission.

Here is my attempt for tile 0107 It sure is tough trying to get a texture that tiles well and doesn't look too repetitive when used over a large area. It looks pretty good to me. It is used quite a bit in the $whirl level. I originally had it in 1024 by 512 but I accidently erased it. Good thing I had this smaller version saved. The original png version has been emailed to you Proasm.

For the blue and yellow section you could recycle part from tile 0043.

I'll upload as soon as I'm done here.
I made a program that auto converts all the old format to the new format.
It also checks each file in the .def files to see if they actually exist and if not remarks out the entry in the def file.
It also looks to see if its a .jpg instead of a .png and visa versa and correct the error if it exists, which just in testing it already found several of these.
So once all is correct and working ok, I'll upload.

Here's a few textures I've been working on. First a few select notes:

0502
NUDITY WARNING. In staying true to the original, the tiny pixelated nudity has been maintained with somewhat more detailed pixelated nudity. The model used is the lovely Maria Ozawa. Image was chosen based on similarity of pose and ethnicity - which were then completely decimated by reducing the size by a factor of ten. Only the preview thumbnail is censored, the actual texture is not.

0642
Conveyor belt texture.

2351 & 2372
These two aren't used anywhere in the game but they were a snap to make so I went ahead and did them anyway.

2373
Used for the bullet train's headlight in Sepukku Station. This one could really use a glowmap. The original texture is round but gets squashed in-game, so I made the replacement ovular to counteract that. Since it's only used once in the game, and I think it makes it look nicer, I don't think that should be a problem.

2374
This is used for the light bloom around the street lamp at the start of Unfriendly Skies.

2671
Always ends up right in your face every time you play Sepukku Station so it has always stuck out to me like a sore thumb. The dark gray looks pretty cruddy with texture compression enabled.

3355
Sepukku Station RC car antenna. Also goes on top of 5059

3477
This one's not really mine, though I did edit it somewhat. The original version is actually the same texture as tile# 1203 in Duke Nukem 3D so I just nabbed the Duke HRP replacement and edited it slightly for use in SW.

4867
This one is quite large at 1024x1024 but at that size it blends perfectly with 0256. Even right in front of it you it's hard to see where 0256 ends and this one begins.

DOWNLOAD: http://la.gg/upl/sw-textures.zip

Sorry, Marked. I didn't mean to do ones which you already made but I had actually done those about a month ago. I was just waiting until I had finished a bunch of texture before posting them. With the future of the 3D Realms forums in doubt I figured I should post these while I still could.

3D Realms has gone belly up, it seems, as reported on Shacknews earlier and later confirmed by Joe Siegler. There's been no official word on the future of the forums as of yet, but with 3D Realms gone there's a distinct possibility that the forums will be shut down.
