Re: Programmer ad
I get out plenty...I'm one of the few that can say I never subscribed to the bullshit random posting in the DNF forums for every little detail...I'm a huge Duke Nukem fan, but what good does it do me to beg for screens and other media? Anyways...I look forward to DNF...it's gonna be awesome...

It's no wonder 3DRealms never releases media. When they do all the "fans" start whining....

Quote from Broussard circa 2001:
"The Pig Cops were a little campy though. I promise if the ever returned, they'd be big snarling, drooling beasts that would makeyou drop a load in your pants when you ran into one in a dark room." Looks like they suceeded! |

E3 is this July. If I don't see a (new) trailer, I'm gonna start crying and buy Halo 3 instead (horrible, isn't it?)

They could post it as a 256 colour animated .gif, just to stay consistent with the rest of the 'screenshots' they've released this year.

I've seen pigs. It doesn't look like a pig. If it were not known that 3DR has a pig fetish, nobody else could tell, either.

dunno if anyones picked up on this yet, but if the artist has paid attention to anatomy/muscles, then he's holding something up just out of shot.
A big shotgun maybe?

Re: Programmer ad
I meen you expect a mutanty thing to be a bit disproportionate but in my opinion the muscles are just wrong. It looks like his arm haa got balloons in it and it doesn't look part of his body. Also the glowing lighting (bloom) is just too much. Just because you can do something it doesn't always mean it's a good idea. I'm NOT saying this image sucks. It certainly ahs it's good points too - but I'm not excited.

Re: Programmer ad
yeah that's a fair comment and who can say a mutant doens't look realistic?? I guess I was just saying it didn't look right to me. I showed it one of my friends who doesn't know 3DR or DNF and asked him what animal he thought had mutated. Straight away he said "wolf" too. It's a nice enough image and it's fantastic to see the game is still progressing. I'm not a troll and I'm not down on this image. I can't wait to see it in the finished game, which of course I will buy the day it's released - even if it has got wolf-cops!

It is a amazing that 3DR has to re-confirm this again. I guess that is just a testimony to its awsomeness.
On another note, I really like the description for the Enviroment Artist ad they posted here. |

Re: Programmer ad
That's a really nice surprise!
Yeah, people do it for everything. Commenting is one thing, but hell, it's pretty funny to witness this happening; like when StarCraft II has been announced. Few hours/minutes have passed and people were ALREADY complaining about the game.

So the question is, is that an in-game screenshot, or just hand-drawn artwork?
