thanks

i shall get working!
i just installed Xpand, so i can do alot.
I'll probably just use the midis for making audio files, cause people want to hear the original music, not something interpreted.

next thing ill need is hosting.

*goes to harass duke4 for some server space*

Hi Everyone! Long time no post...

Just an update to say that the original high resolution music pack I started recording is still in production (yes I know its a long time). I have not fallen off the face of the earth like 3DR and DNF, and the music pack has certainly not been abandoned.

I know there has been lots of other people releasing music packs since I started, some of which are great quality, but I still intend to release mine very soon - in the next month or so.

There's some more finishing touches to be done but what I can tell you is that the music is at "film score" quality.

Hope everyone hasn't forgotten this project and is still working hard on other HRP stuff!

Hey Pete, come on over to Duke4.net. That's the new center of Duke.

I'm looking forward to your NW music pack!

Re: Duke Nukem 3D Music and Sound Project
so what's with the sounds ?

Has anyone replaced or better versions of the city sounds (jet's, plane's, copter's, vehicles..)
these sounds have ultra low quality, but these are some of the best sounds ever. So it's hard to recreate the same feel.

So ?

Otherwise I will try to recreate them as close as possible, so we can hear them with clear sound. But probably you will instantly miss the ultra low quali that makes them so awesome unique.

outside you hear that "wuuuuuffwafffshwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwrrrrr" and you know "ah, I'm playing Duke !"

Maybe they shouldn't be changed...
But I'll give me best and playing duke since 13 years, so you can count on me !

I don' want start making sounds if you might have done some well one's. How can I hear them ?

I'm just eager to re-create these 4-5 generic ambient "action" sounds (plane, jet, train, that awesome howl.. which might be a train horn, but that low quali crunch make's it pretty unique )
