That´s the coolest artwork I´ve ever seen
I hope that it still looks good in motion, its not easy to animate such complex models imo!

Exactly! I've been waiting for this game all of my life.

It speaks to me on so many levels.

There's a part of me that really wants to see the e3 demo and later videos... however i want the game to be as unspoilt as possible. It's gonna be hard.

I would think that 3D Realms would want Prey to be as unspoiled to us as possible, they have said several times that they value the suprise element dearly.

You dont have to do that. Hopefully, we DO will get some shaky camera-ed videos filming those Prey walkarounds.

I hope there will be some "normal" levels too, not just running around in a space ship.
Also I hope that some of the original story (not just the native indian) will be in it.

Sorta underwhelming. The newly released concept art is great, but there's not even a new screenshot for Prey? I can understand why there's no video, but a few screens from the E3 demo wouldn't hurt at all

This game proves that magazine scans can damage a first impression. I wasn't that enthused by the scanned PC Gamer pics, but the same pics look pretty incredible now that they've been officially released. I particularly like this one:

http://pcmedia.ign.com/pc/image/arti...635157-000.jpg

I like that leathery texture on its shoulders, and the bug eyes.

Both Gamespot and IGN's reaction to Prey has been one of surprise. They both had a lot of great things to say. Can't wait to see a few of the scenes they described myself

Hint, hint.

EDIT: For anyone who'd like another opinion on the demonstration, Gamespy posted a short but good article on what they saw and what they thought.

Check it out: http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/prey/616780p1.html

Would you deny people who are really thirsty some water? Even if you have plenty....
It isn't on purpose. We don't *have* a video. Human Head created a 12 minute running demo that will run in the ATI booth. All efforts were put into getting that solid. At some point soon after E3 we can look at dumping those demos to video form and releasing them.
I think we where under the impression you had a video, sorry, our mistake.

But if you could make a video out of it (of your own shaky cam version. ) We would really appreciate it But only when you have the time, resources, want to...

Apparantly this weapon:
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/pr...s.html?page=13

is a grenade launcher according to the IGN demo impressions.

"Or the weapons like the grenade creature with a leg for a pin or the grenade launcher version with that same creature wriggling around inside a glass ball that's fired at high speed."

So it's not some kind of shrinker, damnit
Stil cool though

I'm glad ign, gamespot and gamespy liked what they saw. Prey is definitely a game you need to see in action to appreciate (due to all the portal and gravity gameplay).

That's a really subtle way of saying it

I haven't been this excited to even *see* a game in years. I hope we get to see a little piece of what E3 visitors saw.

The environments impressed me the most. Yes, the portals rock, and yes, the gravity/wall-walking/puzzles were awesome looking, but what really stood out (even on a shaky-cam, so consider this a job well done) is the autheticity of the environments. The attention to detail is staggering.

The beginning scene by the way was absolutely horrifying. If I was playing the game, that would have scared the shiet out of me no wonder Earth's savior doesn't want the job

Out of the vids ive seen so far Prey and Killzone 2 have impressed me the most. Prey more so because i know the vid is showing ingame gameplay. I dont believe the Killzone 2 vid was ingame graphics.

When I think about it more and more, I have to say I'm extremely impressed with the opening sequence! I mean, the amount of crap going on in just that one sequence is astounding (it would probably require several sessions to see it all) and it seems that Human Head's skill with scripted events is absolutely stunning.
