not bad like the atmosphere too but give the house some diferences
I mean the windows are looking the same
maybe You do a broken window or so
And the upper brick texture is smaller than the one under

I did't realy want this house to look too pretty as this is a Horror T.C after all so that's why I didn't put curtains at the windows or go into to much ornate detail with it. But it still has to look as if it could be occupied so that's why I choose not to go for the broken window look, but one of the window fames in the front of the house has got a cobweb in one corner. As for the brickwork texture I can assure you that the bricks are all the same size as the sides of the house are made up of only one pollygon each with one continuous texture on each pollygon so what your seeing here is a trick of the light.

Very HL2-ish. Nice.

But the upper margins of doors and windows as shown below always stay at the same height. Correct that.

Even in the picture you've referanced here you can cleary see that the back door is not as high as the window so I don't really know what your refering to here, also the back door has got a back door step & when you stand the player on it the back door is at just the rigth hight for him to look as though the he could realistically go though it as it looks as if the opening would only be about a foot ( or mybe slightly less ), higher than the top of his head if it was put in real life terms. As for the patio doors they are the same hight as the windows as in my experiance they always are a lot higher & bigger than ordinary doors.

By the way " Nice Hat " , I thought I'd get one for myself but it's not as good as your's though, Yo, Ho, Ho.

Hehhe ........ upto you man. We are always here to comment. It's your job to accept or not. It was "visually disturbing" to me.

Re: DAWN OF THE DEAD - ScreenShots
All I can say is that if your saw this house in 3D you would see that it is well proporsiones & it's just these dam 2D screenshots that make it look so out of proportion. " 2D SUCKS ".

But keep the feedback comming as it is all very helpfull & appreciated

He is just saying that the windows should be lines up with the door. 3D or not they aren't lined up. He's just trying to help.
If you post your work on forums people will give good feedback and bad and the bad is to help you make your mod get better. When you make something you wont just hear positive things all the time. But anyways Sayantan 's post wasn't even negative just a friendly subjection.
I don't think I've posted about this mod yet but I have been following it. It's looking like it might be a pretty good mod so keep it up.

You must have read the above follow up to Sayantan 's comment's as you mentioned it in your post so you must have seen that I am not offended & welcome any criticisms of my work as I agree with your view that criticisms are a very helpfull guide to helping you better your work & on the hole that is why I post these screenshots ( that & keeping the commuity up to date with my progress of course ).

This dosn't mean that I have not got the right to put my view across about any comment's made as I have a right to vioce my opinion also, & it dosn't mean i'm offended when I do so, it just means that I disagree, & if I found that I did agree with the comment's made to me then I would change the offending item accordingly, but thankyou for your feedback anyway.

By the way I seem to have misread Sayantan 's post anyway as I thought that he was trying to say that the door should not be, rather then should be line up with the window & that's why I found the post so confusing as the door is clearly not lined up with the window.

But that being said I still have to dissagree with the comment as the top of doors are in 99% of cases always lower than the windows in real life anyway.

But sorry about the misunderstanding Sayantan mate.

Are you sure about it? At least it's not like that here in my country. It just looks so disturbing to the eye.

And also the fact that I haven't seen anything like that in the official game.

That's because strangley there dosn't seem to be any windows at ground floor level in the original game, if you hadn't noticed.

There's still a great deal of work to do on this T.C as it's my own baby & I'm working on it on my own. But I am trying to knock it out as soon as I can but I don't realy want to rush it as if I do it could turn out to be crap & not the quality T.C that i'm trying to achieve. So " SORRY " I can't give you a release date for this T.C as of yet.

I can however inform you that due to i'll health I am no longer able to work so this means that I am able to spend most of my time working on this T.C so it should be released a lot sooner then most of the other T.C's released in the past.

Is there a second floor? Do windows usually extend up to the ceiling or down to the floor?

Actually that's why I hinted him to lower the upper margin of the left door and the windows. Then atleast there would be some more gap between the windows of each floor.

But anyways, booleaning is a pain in the arse. So let go.

Oh BTW, If I were him, I'd texture fit a rectangular polygon window and put it there. It's much safe and easier to use. Also I can change my mind easily. But it should be put carefully like those graffittis so you don't get Z-fighting errors.

Edit:- I didn't notice you corrected that already. It's looking much better now.

DAWN OF THE DEAD - ScreenShots Update
I wanted to update this previously uploaded ScreenShot as a lot has change since it was uploaded.

Changes I've made:

I've change the fence so that the posts are now wood & not concrete, I've also put in a patio area & change the plant's to ones that are not so attractive, theres also now, a new ( Gorier ), female Zombie, & lastly I put in much more gore as I thought this to be much more realistic seeing as this guy's got massive holes in his head & back.

All these changes were made to achieve that seedy 70's feel that the movie has.

Great textures on the house. Did you make those yourself? I guess that's why it looks HL2-like. But great work!

I did the windows & patio door textures but the brick texture was extracted from the original game.

I myself have never played HL2 & in fact I only played the first version & it's expansions a couple of months ago & I couldn't beleave how brilliant it was for a game that was around before MP1, it's now my list for my top 10 P.C games of all time & HL2 has been on my shopping list for ages but I haven't gotten around to buying it as I wouldn't have much time to play it with all this modding that I'm doing.....

P.S

Thanks for your kind comment's about my update you guy's, & I like your new Avatar Uisor

Yea, I thought that that was a strange thing to say as well, as this mod is base on the movie DAWN OF THE DEAD & all of the spec's for this mod are at the begining of this thread telling you exactly what it's based on.

DAWN OF THE DEAD - Prefab ScreenShot
Here's a Screenshot of a Rotary Line Prefab that I made in order to help me fill out the back yard of a house in my MP1 T.C DAWN OF THE DEAD, as it was looking kind of bear. This is an amimated item so when you turn the handle the line rotates.

News of my mod spreads eithen further
Unbeknown to me a french modding website called PMods has been hosting my mod of the movie DAWN OF THE DEAD since october of this year.

I'd like to thank them for doing so ( eithen though I didn't know about the hosting myself ), as it's always nice to see that there is still quite a Global interest in modding for Max Payne 1.

To view my mod as hosted on their site please click on the following link.

( 1 ). This is a 3rd person shooter, just like the original game.

( 2 ). Sorry but progress has been a bit slow on this T.C mod since the start of the New year as I had a death in the family on New Years eve, I have however been slowly returning to work on it the last few days, & hope that I can post some more updates pretty soon.
