That Tar Cafe "615 All Your Base Are..." sign was in the first Max Payne as well. You could find it if you looked around the tutorial level.

A note on the School of the blind: In the first game, Max made a statement, "In the Land of the Blind, the man with one eye rules..." In regards to Alfred Woden who had one eye. He was the "ringleader" of the innercircle and Max was saying that all the other members are blind to the truth, the conspiracy right in front of them, so he used the old proverb to describe what is happening at that point in the story. Now, in MP2 there is advertisements on the television for a School for the Blind. Winterson and Vlad both have diplomas from the Brooklyn School of the blind, although neither of them is blind. Coincidence? I think not.

Anyone know if this refers to some egg?

I don't think these have been posted, so here goes:

1. In the first hospital mission (part 1 prologue) after you go into a room where Max imagines he sees Winterson, go out the door and directly in front of you is a kid's room. There are some drawings on the window. They're a referance to the first Max Payne.

2. In the police department (part 2 prologue) in the briefing room there's a projector (I think it's called a projector) with a couple of slides (4) from a murder scene. It's the dead Max from the third dream sequence (part 3 chapter 6) in those slides.

Well, I don't think it's ACTUALLY Max - he just incorporates those elements (as well as elements from the guy who killed his wife and the pizza-guy with a chainsaw and buried them behind the rosebushes that some cop is interrogating near your office. Funny bit, by the way) into his dream sequences later.

Not sure if these have been posted, but...

In Max's apartment, there are several pictures...

One is of his wife alone.

Another is of him, his wife, and his daughter from the first game, except Timothy Gibbs has been edited in to replace Sam.

There's another one from the first game with Max and Alex (his old partner), except Sam has been replaced with the new Max.

There's also a newspaper with the front page about Max and Alex. I think the headline reads "THE HERO COPS."

And finally, in Mona's place, there is a picture of her with her twin sister on a couch. Her twin is sitting upright while she is leaning back, and they're both smiling at each other.

I found a second stash of guns in Part I Chapter I. Not so much a stash, but some ammo, an ingram and pain killers.

At the door where you meet the first cleaner make a hard left and follow the wall (if the cleaner comes out just shoot him, you don't need him to open the second door). You'll reach what appears to be a dead end of boxes, but on the far right there is a short box you can jump up onto, from there you can jump onto the box above it and make either a left or a right (jumping from box to box) to find some extra stuff that will make life just a little easier.

It's kind of depressing nobody's found something like the killer rats or the secret room in the parking garage from MP1. So, I decided to start a one-man war against every damn wall painting in the game.

This isn't a "secret" per se, but something that I just now noticed (I know, everybody else probably found this already).

In the prologue of Part II (in the police station), there's an air conditioner in the Rec room labeled "Do Not Use." Of course, once I saw it, I "used" it.

The cops in the room yell at Max for breaking it. Also, on the next level down, where you have the officer taking the report of the lady who thinks her boyfriend wants to kill her, instead of saying "Guns don't kill people, video games do," she complains about the heat.

Its nice to get to the second floor of Woodens Manor, finally.

Edit Mona leaves her Rifle where she enters and there are lots of bodies and ammo, you can walk around and follow her path. She stops in the hallway to wait for her next scene, you can catch up with her, too. You get no response when you , ues key, on her. I think she is just in the ZONE, you know killing and all

Winterson has the Plaque for the Brooklyn School for the Blind by her desk because her kid is blind. Also, it seems that Max and Winterson have been working together for a while because beside Max's desk there are a bunch of newspaper clippings that show them together solving a murder.

In the room where the old lady is on the floor dead, enter the kitchen and go to the other room with the open window, jump out and go a little bit to the left and look at the wall -- you'll see an "M" press the use button three times and look around at the area - it's awesome

At Payne's apartment there's a golden ring near the couch, next to the picture of him and his wife. It's sad because the whole apartment will blow couple of minutes later

At the reception, at the Police Headquarters listen to the hmm... 'lady' talking to the policeman. When she finishes the dialog talk to the woman behind the reception desk. She'll sum it up nicely.

At Mona's place there is a picture of her and her sister, Lisa, plus some candles in front of it.

Well... conversations between mobsters are the best. They're really funny. Like the one when Cleaners are talking at the lobby (near the senator's place) or earlier when they are trying to find a way to kill someone without spilling victim's blood in Vladimir's warehouse.

When i done this i jamp from the wall (just to the left of pic 1) because when i jamp off the two wood planks they fell down the hole, and then when i tried to jump back i couldn't jump far enough to reach the other side so when you jump from the wall at least when you jump back you have the wood planks to land on

Well, part of that is from the second nightmare sequence in the original Max Payne game. He thinks he killed his wife. In the first nightmare, he thinks he killed his wife INDIRECTLY by not being there for her and not paying attention to her, but in the second dream sequence he thinks that HE is the one that shot her.

Well these aren't so much secrets as they are amusing bits I've noticed. The spoiler warning isnt here, should be obvious.


Late goodbye - The janitor in max's apartment (the 667 guy), Mona in her shower are both singing it. One of the cleaners is playing it on the piano in the Inner Circle apartments.

In max's second dream, in the jail with different maxes behind the cells, one of them says "I've been switched, I used to look like this!" I didn't find that he looked anything like the original max payne, but the reference is there! Down the hall the words "Mona Sax" disappear except for the "m" an "a" and the "x" probably an obvious one...

Be sure to check out the surveillance tape in the snipers apartment across from Max's apartment, the tap, amusing third phonecall.


Dick Justice did seem to resemble payne/Lake but both justice and Mira/Murra/Mirror(address unknown) are symbolic of Payne.


Second time I've heard about a room with candles with "in memorium/memory of..." but nobody mentioned the name.


I'm working on Hard Boiled right now, so I'll report back in with similar stuff...

I found a strange secret in Part 1 Chapter 4, when you go outside where the ledges and stuff is after the secruity code door, (667) there will be a black "M" on a brick wall, if you press E on it three times, flames will appear on some of the ledges you have to walk/jump through.
