Wow, way to resurrect an old thread!

As for 3DR being pitbulls about copyrights: I know they ban people from their forums for violations, and I've heard of them warning people, but I'm not aware of a case where they actually took someone to court.

I remember this thing. When this thread was first posted, I had a box on a very fast link (think something like OC-12) with no bandwidth limits download their demo version over and over hundreds of times concurrently to waste their bandwidth, in the hopes that they would run out and have to pay insane overage charges. I doubt it did much other than make their site incredibly slow for a while, but I like to think the several hundred TB of transfer cost them more than they ever made stealing early HRP work.

F*ck, even the name of the game is a ripoff of that band "Rush", who have an album called "2112" and a song called "Red Sector A". Wankers!

Well it's kind of fascinating. I'm glad Terminx doesn't have a problem with me resurrecting this topic though. I read alot of old threads on here, I haven't really felt the need to bump one until I read this though. It kind of reminds me of the whole "Limbo of the Lost" debacle if anyone remembers that game, it blatantly ripped off over a dozen games and was sold commercially.
