very few people see Indie films, or know it exists. But I for one will tell as many people as possible, its looking very nice.

This is the best thing we can hope for besides a holly wood film, but then again some great stuff comes from Independent films. Bruce Campbell in evil dead series was an independent film, and look at it. Its known through out the world as one of the greatest films ever.

Anyways good luck with the project, I can't wait for a trailer with some movie footage. I've been waiting a long time for something like this. GOOD LUCK

Just watched the teaser trailer, wasn't expecting to see any live action footage but guess i was wrong, it's a good thing.

Looks very professional, can't wait to see it.. but Max Payne being my favourite game i'm hoping you won't change any important details from the games, most things i don't mind like Mona not being there, because there's plenty of explanations for that. Like being dead. (Spoiler)

Either way i'll be burning it to DVD, and taking it downstairs to watch in glorious 50" HD-o-vision Very excited about this!

Thank you for using the "Sam Lake" Max Payne

Looks awesome too, can't wait

[Edit]: Wait, so you're going to release chapter 3 before you release the post or previous chapters? Are you trying to confuse everyone or is this a tarantino thing?

As quoted by the paragraph in the "Trivia" section at the official P&R site...

"This film is in fact part three of six short films, which will eventually come together to form one feature length piece. Initially, it was written as a stand alone affair, but the potential story lines either side were too promising to pass up."

Hope this helps,

Where else would it be released? At your local cinema?

It's a fanmade production, I doubt they'll have the ability to have it showing in cinemas across the country/world.

Max Payne: Payne & Redemption will be distributed throughout selected film festivals and cinemas around the world, eventually finding its way on to the internet.

This may be a professional production but it is still a fanmade production. You are in no way official and I've seen countless people think that this is the official Max Payne movie.

It may be best to clarify rather then use fake hype which could cause problems in the future.

In this line of business, "fanfilms" are usually considered inferior and amateur to professionally made films. Hence why it is more-than-often perceived as derogatory to call a professional production a "fanmade" one.

It doesn't matter if it's perceived as derogatory, Payne & Redemption IS a fanfilm no matter how you look at it. It is only not considered a fanfilm if you get authorisation at making it by the copyright holders.

Of course. Payne & Redemption, since it's not clarifying it's a fanfilm and others are thinking it's the official movie, is gaining attention from others passing on word and assuming it's the official movie.

Firstly, that's not correct, and is wrong of you to say so. We are a non-profit, independent production, not a "fanfilm". Secondly, we have the condonation and support of Sam Lake, and that's all that matters.

It doesn't clarify itself as a "fanfilm" because it is not, and never has been a "fanfilm". It is an INDEPENDENT FILM, hence why it is called so, not only on the film's poster, but on the banner of the blog on the official site. It is not our fault if people assume Payne & Redemption is the official film. There is enough documentation on the production of this film for anyone who reads into it to know very well that we are independent from the untitled 20th Century Fox "Max Payne" project.

Actually no that isn't all that matters. Copyright holders are now Take 2 and as such Payne & Redepention is anything BUT official.

To be honest, I don't think there's coming much out of that film. I guess it's a pretty much with shoot-outs in overall. Or will those guys re-write a new story for this film? Anyway, I still don't think I'd be looking forward to this film. Another reason would be that there aren't much good films left. All the good ones we're made in 80's and 90's and even more below. That's one reason I don't watch too much television. Nothing to watch! Well, anyway, I wish you good luck with the film. I hope you add something mysterious to the film, not just Blam! Blam! Thank You Man! Maybe a detective story!

Cheers, Over-Kill

Oh I agree that it looked very professional but to expect people to have something to say after every teaser released is a bit too much. There's hardly any info been released on this movie so what is there to say other than "Great work", "Keep it up", etc.

Plus the attitude portrayed in his post (with the whole roll-eyes smilie and ellipsis) isn't something you should see from someone trying to hype this movie up.
