duke nukem video options

Hey!
can anybody help me? I'm trying to run Duke nukem on my computer, but I can only run it in 320x200 or something like that...! what's the problem?

Are you playing on XP or some older version of Windows..?
You should concider getting JonoF's Duke3D port to run it on XP if that's what you're using...

If you run it on some older system (with win95-98 maybe 2000) you have to run the 'Setmain' or 'Setup' files in your game directory... There you can choose screen setup, and something called Vesa mode, there you can turn on higher resolutions...

If you use JonoF's port though, this can be done in a much easyer way in the games menu...

well I'm running it on windows xp, and what is jonoF thing? (or whatever you call it) I'm not very good at these computer things, I just want to refresh the good old memories... I have tried to change to vesa mode, but everytime it refuses to run the game (it opens a dos-window but does nothing else)....

Well, JonoF's Duke3D port is a program made for Duke3D, to run on XP, and to work with high resolutions... There is also a High Resolution Pack (called HRP) for JonoF's port, with 3D models, and re-made textures... You can read/see more about the HRP here...

Give it a try... I don't think you'll have any problems in installing it... If so, you can always ask for help...

Oh crist, just download this http://www.planetduke.com/hrp/ , this is the full package and all you need tp play Duke3d on Windows XP.

But the HRP takes a lot of space...
So if you'd like to try out the HRP with models and such (still beta, it's not finished yet) Then try it... If you only want the classic original game, get JonoF's port only...
