16/16?
Some games have a max of 16 players, and when I join have over 8 players. I thought this game only supported 8? What the heck.

This game does support 8 players only, but to get 16 players would require editing seta si_maxPlayers "" in preyconfig.cfg

On a side note, found this at the bottom of the listing in the same file:
seta net_clientLagOMeter "0"

What is it for?

It's not recommended you jack it up to 16. People just thinkg there's no repercussions in overriding the default settings. There is. The more players you add, the higher bandwith the server has to have. It's not recommended you run over 4 anyway on a cable modem.
