Hall of Mirrors: Hitting newstands near you?
Hey fellas,

It's been a while since I've posted here, been taking a break from all things modding and focusing on my studies/personal life for a while since things have been in turmoil for the past 2 years or so. Anyways since HoM was released I have received several emails from european magazines asking for permission to put our mod on their covermounts and to write articles on it.

I know that Gamestar has done such a thing and I was wondering if anyone has the magazine and wouldn't mind uploading a scan of the HoM article just for the sake of keeping it as a memento. I know they actually di publish it based on this table of contents: http://www.gamestar.de/magazin/heft/052006/inhalt.pdf (scroll down to mod news)

I have also gotten emails from PCZone UK asking for permission, so be on the lookout for that in this month's issue or next month's issue.

Finally to make this post a bit more informative, no, I have not yet decided whether I want to continue working on future versions of HoM or if I want to call it quits and take a break and then move to a different engine. It mostly all depends on how long it takes me to get my current situation under control. It also bears mentioning that Corwin and Mr. Anderson might not want to continue the project, I'm not a one man team after all so it's not all up to me.

Cool, thanks for the heads up on the article Rico - I will keep an eye out for it....any chance of knowing which number/month of PC Gamer its going to be in? We are often behind when it comes to UK/US mags in Oz.

I was hoping you would have been. You've earned it.

I'd like to see the other extras you had planned for the mod - such as the shotgun kata....as well as putting in those new skins that Slaughter has made.

So, I'm definately there - and I probably think Corwin would be as well....but I don't wish to speak for him. But the break has been nice, & I would like it to continue for just a little while longer.

Thankyou for the heads up champ! I went out & bought it this evening.

Theres not much in the mag about it at all, but there is a screenshot on DVD cover.

Will try to scan in tomorrow, Rico!

No probs, I actually posted about it on their forums, where there are some crazy Christian Bale fans, but it was looked over because of the decidely unequilibrium like name.

Heres the scan from the DVD case on the front of the mag:

Notice the close proximity to the word "goodness"? I can assure you its no co-incidence :P

Actually, I am so very chuffed about it being on the front cover of the 10 year Anniversary edition of PC Power Play - its a milestone for a respected Australian gaming magazine and this particular editing should see a lot of circulation!

w00t!

I would buy this magazines if i could find them in France.

Concerning your decision Rico, unless you already have some concepts for a new mod, i advice you to develop HoM a little more with new maps and new kata. You could find some benefits from giving HoM a new face with some kind of complete storyline.

Of course, it will need time to do but the fact is you already have a great base for developping it.

I've found HoM in the pages of PC Jeux, the french version of PC Gamer.
Here comes the article

No need to translate, it's all about the HoM Story and the gameplay. They liked it and thought the team's done a great modding job with this quality mod offering fast paced and stylish action.
