After i played red faction guerilla and beat it.
i JUST noticed the name Earth Defense Force.
is this the same as Dukes EDF?

Man i thought everyone knew this.

Red Faction Guerilla is actually DNF.
3DR got wind of THQ suing,so they used Volition to sneak out DNF before THQ could seize DNF.

To prevent copyright and trademark infringement.
The Duke Nukem characters were stripped out and they used a 3rd person camera to trick THQ.
But the idiots at Volition forgot to rename the EDF.

Since RF:G's EDF takes place on Mars, I'm wondering if UAC from the Doom Series had anything to do with buying them out, or something...just curious...perhaps that was because Carmack KNEW that Doom 3 would have been the catalyst to say that, well, if 3DR is going to compete with this down the road, may as well be the innovator, and release a new Doom game. Now they're on to Doom 4, and hoping that will again pressure DNF to compete with it, and RF:G would be the "go between."
