The joke is that you see DNF on the screen in the background, the action figure in the foreground. So with a weird sense of humor you can call it an 'in-game-shot'.

Too much is running through my mind nowbecause of this... but i have two odd ones though...

I thought it was out of duke's eyes only, this seems pretty cutscene-ish from an outside-Duke angle
His haircut must be flatter... looks too round, else i think he's great

And it doesn't look like an action figure...No screws/junction in the shoulders, and his head look like there's HDR on it. It could be a joke by George, but it looks great.

Plus depth of field, which George constantly mentioned on the Shack. I'm really, really digging it, but everyone knows that already.

It does look like an action figure. I dunno why, it just has a plastic-feel to it.

The joke is that you see DNF on the screen in the background, the action figure in the foreground. So with a weird sense of humor you can call it an 'in-game-shot'.

Knowing George's sense of humour, that's probably the case actually. Although I haven't seen any Duke Nukem figure that looks like this one.

If this actually does have anything to do with DNF, then what ever happend to that whole "through the eyes of Duke only" thing? It doesn't look like any mirror.

Hey everyone, first of all I think that the shot is real, and that the only reason that it was posted was because George was getting REALLY desperate to get employees so he decided that more people would apply if they(3DR) could proove to every job candidate how kick ass the game looks. People probably weren't applying just because they didn't "believe."

After all, look at where he posted it!!! At a place where people look to get hired.....so put two and two together, I think that it's pretty obvious.

And I would bet the fate of god's green earth that this has nothing to do with "the beginning of the hype machine."

It's an action figure. Look closely at the ammo belt strap and the plasticness of the guns. With a little contrast editing, layer duplication and blending in Photoshop and definitely scaling things down you can make things look convincing depending what you're shooting for.

Mostly those guns are obviously plastic.

Update: I'm willing to bet my life that it's from one of the cinema scenes from the ps1 duke games where they had prerendered characters.

It looks EXACTLY like that if you know what I'm talking about. Someone please post(before I do) a shot from "dn:time to kill" or "land of the babes" to proove me right!!

And if it DOES turn out to be fake(which i think it is), then George will never live this down. In fact, he should probably fear for his life after this prank!
