Well, the trailer is available now at the official MP2 page. Comes in two flavors: 71mb and 13mb. Haven't watched it yet, so I don't know if it has more footage.

It was good for a teaser, since the game is due out soon I don't really care, i'll wait for the demo or full game whichever comes out first.

I liked the trailer, only one thing was noticably weak to me, but it's really not a big deal. The lightning flash, that is. I like the way the rest looks for the most part. It really gets me thinkin about the plot [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img] I wonder.

Anyway, there's another trailer after this one? Or was this the trailer you said would be released WID?

Just a small nitpick, but whoever encoded the video didn't deinterlace it. Near the beginning where we see a shot of a skyscraper and the lightning flashes, there are very visible combing artifacts.

I'm talking about the official Quicktime version, not IGN's.

As for content: VERY COOL! I don't understand the people saying it's nothing special. It looks like a CGI movie!

It's not an "if", as a demo is coming out. As for when it will happen, no exact date yet. Work on the demo will start soon after the game has gone gold.

The demo release is probably timed so that it will become available when the game hits the store shelves. Just so that people who like the demo and want the game can find it in the store immediately.

Agreed. I just want Remedy to spend the next 2 weeks or so polishing and optimizing the game so it'll be PERFECT once it goes gold at, likely, the start of October. After all, I don't want to have to download two 25MB patches immediately at the game's release.

Which means Remedy needs to spend more time bug-squashing and less time teasing us. Now, I'm certainly not saying that Remedy releases buggy material ... I just don't want another Enter the Matrix-style unpolished crapfest. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Max was using his same ol' Berettas, as were at least one of the NYPD cops at the end. One of them was using a Desert Eagle, as was Mona, although hers had a sort of laser-dot or See-More sight placed atop the slide.

This teaser is pretty well done. I like the fact that it does not reveal too much about the game but raises a few questions instead. The thing that impress me is the creases in the back of the NYPD jacket that some guy was wearing as well as the creases in the characters clothing in general. Details like that really make a difference. The woman walking through the door look very good as well and I think I'd rather see her on screen than Max Payne - [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Just curious about something...When the boxes and other debree explode behind max, did anyone else notice that the car beside the explosion caused the debree to slide up the side of the car and then spread out farther? I know I'm being nitpicky here, but was the Havok engine used to do that explosion?

I thought the game was just using the Havok engine for the ragdoll system, and was using rudimentary physics for everything else. I don't think it'll have super-advanced wheel-rolling-down-a-flight-of-stairs physics like in DX2. [img]images/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

It'd be funny to see max do a bullet time dive sideways and accidently dive down towards a flight of stairs, with him flopping around with the wonderous ragdoll physics [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img] Or maybe have him trip over a crate or slip on a banana peel for good measure.

How come I cant get on to the MAx Payne 2 site? When I click enter all I get is a pic and the song loops in the background. There are links to remedy and rockstar but I cant get to the high quality video. what am I doing wrong?
