It was tantalizingly short, though...more of a teaser than a trailer.

I watched it now. Hmm feels the same as when I watched the Unreal 2 video. Nothing special [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] Hope I'm wrong, and that this is just a teaser video (not good in my opinion). It's hopfully a clip that IGN them selves have put together from clips of MP2 that they got from Remedy.

Hope they release more videos, but then in much better quality, like the blink video of Half-Life 2 that was released yeaserday [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

I liked it. The music... the heartbeat ... gets me in the mood to play Max Payne again.

Wish it showed a little more about what's going on this time around, but I guess that's why they call them teasers. Well, I'll find out more soon enough - as I'm playing the game [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

Max's new face looks even better in motion than in the still screens! The facial differences are very subtle now, as well! You never doubt for a second that it's him.
And I loved Mona's wicked-rad customized Desert Eagle!

Personally, I wasn't that impressed. It's not that it looked like a bad game or anything; it's just that the video was so short it didn't really have the time to convey much feel.

It certainly didn't feel like Max Payne to me at all, but I'm not setting a judgement in stone at this point. I still think it'll be cool, I just want to see more before I offer an opinion.

Nope you should be able to download it straight without registering.

Unless you've downloaded other things from IGN today. I think you get 5 free pieces of media (pics and vids) per day.

So if you've looked at 5 pictures at IGN then you won't be able to download the video.

hmmmm, to be honest. as first impression of the ingame action i'd have expected something better. dont get me wrong, but its the first teaser that should get everyone's attention, and be full of cool stuff. i mean, the beginning of the shootdodge in the clip was just awesome, max payne at ****ING LARGE. but those map overviews in the beginning were badly done for a 'movie clip'. remember max payne 1, with the cam path sidewards whilst the subway train was rushing nearby, that was just pure movie feeling.

i expect this kinda stuff from the official trailer, and i'm sure rockstar is gonna make a good job.
i just wish i wouldn't have seen this small appetizer first.
