Unhappy What of Max Payne?
If this business of 3DR shutting down is true, this board will go with it! Where will we all go? I suspect most (including me) will be on the Alan Wake forums ( alanwake.com/forum/ )

It's a shame that we're going to lose the massive amount of archived threads too. I'm going through them now to back up hints and tips I and others recieved back when I was learning how to mod Max Payne 1 & 2. Well, it's been great posting here. Next to MPHQ, this was top dog for Payne info.

The L4Y web site has a pretty decent forums for both Max Payne 1 & 2 discussion & modding & they've just moved over to faster servers so I don't think there be closing down anytime soon. Plus there's also the added bonus that the L4Y web site also hosts most of, if not all of the Mods & user made tutorials ever made for the two titles, along with the official Tools & Tutorials.

Max Payne 1 at L4Y Link: http://maxpayne.levels4you.com/
Max Payne 2 at L4Y Link: http://maxpayne2.levels4you.com/

& there's aslo the ModDB site that host Max Payne 1 & 2 mods & discussion as well:

ModDB Link: http://www.moddb.com/

Plus, don't forget that the DeepSix website has just reopened with it's own Max Payne 1 & 2 forums & download pages. The sites all abit quite at the moment but if this site closes down then perhaps we should all get together to build a new comunity on the DeepSix web site.

Maybe there's a chance to save information from this forums?
Some admins shift whole forums to another sites with users passwords and database.

For example we may use DeepSix

It's very sad to see the max payne forums here go, as this is where it all started for me. I wouldn't be starting a career in the games industry if it wasn't for this place. Well, anyway, I'd just like to repeat what I said in Halloween's thread.

Everyone is more than welcome to join us on the Alan Wake forums. We have a fairly modest, but active, Max Payne section which will hopefully see some more activity with MP3 on the horizon. Markus posts quite regularly these days, and hopefully so will some of the other Remedy team members once Alan Wake draws closer to release (sadly no one has been able to convince Sam Lake to post, but we keep trying). If you want advice and support with Max Payne mods and modding, or just want to get back in touch - I guess that's where I'll be from now on.

We'd be more than happy to accommodate anyone at the forums on Payneandredemption.com.

We have a Max Payne 1, 2 & 3 section, and would be amenable to opening up any sub-forums to do with modding and the like, if there is enough interest.

Sam Lake is apparently a regular visitor, although doesn't post (as far as I personally know), and we have many "hidden" celebs amongst our registered users, who frequently pop by to check up on things.

How about the downloads, such as the demos, the freeware
releases, the source code releases? I know that the online
store is not going to be open, for much longer, so I assumed
that everything else was going, too. See my post:

OK, fair enough, and good to hear.

The offer is still there for anyone who is interested.
