How hard is it?
I have just read about how to get what i would see as a better ending since i found the normal one depressing i'm glad there is another one.

anyway i was wondering how hard is the other modes you have to complete to get this ending?

i mean i have to finish hard boiled and dead on arival to get it. What difference is there in the modes (obvoisly its harder) but in what way? enemies harder to kill? more enemies? any more information on this? also one question did anyone out there find max payne 2 shorter than the first one?

Thanks alot

Acctually, I didn't find Hard boiled and DOA any harder than Detective. I was suprised. In DOA it seems there are a few more enemies placed in some clever spots that catch you off guard if your not paying attention (Like I wasn't)

Also pain killers don't seem to health you as much. It really isn't that bad. Oh, and on DOA you only have a certain amount of saves per part, or chapter or something. It never bothered me though, I only noticed I had only 3 more saves left right near the end of the game. So, didn't really make much difference.

all of them are quite easy to me... i guess if u are in harder difficulties, the enemies are harder to kill... dunno... try shooting ppl w/ a beretta and u should notice there's slightly difference...

and no i don't think the game places any new sneaky enemy in any sneaky location... (trust me, i completed Detective the 1st day, Hard Boiled on the next day, and DOA on the 3rd day)

I did too.

In DOA mode in the Construction site, at one point near the end you go down a ramp and above you in a catwalk type thing that has 2 enemies on it. They weren't there in Detective and HardBoiled for me. There was a few other instances where there seemed to be a few extra enemies around.

DOA has:

- More enemy placement

- 4 saves per level

- Tougher enemies

- And of course, alternate ending for all your hard efforts.

i guess u are talking about Part II Chapter 6 (as mona) right?? at the point where mona says "i am at the pit" right??

there are enemies camping up there even if it's Detective mode... actually 3 enemies to be precise... + another 2 commandos walking towards u...

i remember this coz i was telling at my g/f not to walk out before taking out the guyz up there...
