I have seen the video hd and it's truly beautifull, once again many it compliments to all.
I like very much, to the beginning, when the monster that falls while it runs and when Tommy is entered through a portals into the planetoide.

I just saw the high res version now... But i must say, the graphics weren't so pretty as i'm used to from the screenshots... What settings was it running with..? Or perhaps this is the X360 version..?

Anyways, i saw some cool stuff i didn't notice from the little video...

Also, Tommy DOES seem to disappear when he looked in the portal he was going through (as someone here mentioned earlyr)
But i believe that's because you can see through a portal from a distance... It's all black untill you approach nearer to it...

Hardly. Releasing videos is a pretty common promotional tool. Has nothing to do with being "afraid" like you suggest.

Which would also mean staying away from the forums too - as everything tends to get spoiled pretty quickly after release anyway.

That matters not - if you've been reading the updates, you'll know that 360/PC versions are almost "pixel perfect" - I think that comes from the update done by the guy at Venom a few updates ago.

Obviously i must've forgotten that then...
Then i assume it was on a lower graphics setting on PC...
The most clear moment i recognized the "low" graphics, was when the Hunter was looking into the planetoid after you entered it...
He didn't look as detailed (low res model texture) as i remember from the screenshots and all...
And of course there were other environments (walls, and other surfaces)

I really liked how that monster fell to the ground after he died on the ceiling. It would be more realistic if that monster kept sticking on the wallwalk on the ceiling, but it would be boring. Having him fall down (or from the player's perspective: fall UP) is MUCH more fun

What..? I'm just comparing graphics from the same game...
I was just being curious, did i say ANYWHERE that i didn't like the video..?

I'm just wondering if it actually DID run on a certain graphic setting, not that it's a bad game just because it does, or doesn't...

That's because the room is oversized. (Or rather: you are smaller).
The hunter is maybe 30-40 times its original size, so all polygons are stretched out 30-40 times (from your perspective at least, in fact your eyes are 30-40 times smaller). Because of the stretching you think he's less detailled, but that's totally not true!

I wonder what those slime-spouters are though. The player seems to shoot them sometimes and ignore them another time.
Also, he seemed to shoot one and all enemies that were sticking to a wall were dead.

By the way: was it in this video I saw the game has little slimers? I hope they won't get on my nerves. (Well, getting on my nerves is a strong word, I hardly ever get frustrated in a game).

That's just one part... There are several locations where it looked lesser detailed as i saw on screenshots... I'm just speculating of course... This is not a rant or anything that should be understood in a negative way...

I don't want to answer gameplay questions, as I don't know who from higher up will want to smack me for talking.

But wait till you see some of the weird things done with gravity and wallwalking. It's quite cool, and nauseating at the same time.

Wow, 3 hours of music... That's much... I hope all of it apeals to me as this one did...

Are the songs from the Jukebox also part of these 3 hours, or is that only counting for in-game music..?

It doesn't count the Jukebox music. There is nearly 3 hours of original score to the game.

The polygons aren't actually affected - the model is simply scaled up.

I haven't seen the video(and not gonna :P)but, seeing the lower quality E3 trailer had higher texture details than the higher res trailer later released. I would think it's possible they again choose to lower the graphics settings in order to accommodate the increased resolution and thus get a more smooth captured video with fraps.

Perhaps they should invest in a more powerfull PC, used for capturing gameplay videos!

I am not interpreting this in a wrong way. I am just trying to explain how come.
Maybe those screenshots were taken in 4000*3000? And then shrunk? Doom 3 supports that feature.

I keep trying to get out but they keep pulling me back in!!!!!

Though I'm gonna pass on future vids as I don't want to be spoiled any longer,
here's a few suggestions:

-Talon in action. We haven't really seen much of Tommy's loyal sidekick.

-Tommy playing around with the jukebox.

-Deathmatching on the asteroids. With wrenches only.

Well, I'd like to see some videos that show off a few of those abilities. And perhaps some videos that show a few more enemies and a few more weapons. Just a few.

Oh, and why not try releasing non-video goodies, too? Perhaps a Couple of soundtracks and a few concept arts from the exclusive artbook.

These are just auggestions, of course. I'll gladly take any little previews you send our way.

Some footage of the children spirits would be cool as well.

But I trust 3DR and HH to pick out some great stuff for us.
