Duke Nukem Saving Babes
I'm new here and I'm sorry if I'm asking a question that has already been answered, but I searched in the search engine of the forum and outside the forum and I couldn't find any information on my question. Ok to my question:

Is there a way to save the babes in Duke Nukem 3d XBLA? I've tried every button I can think of and I can't figure it out. I thought it was the "use" button in the original Duke Nukem 3d on the PC. Was this omitted out of this version? Thanks for your guys help!

Saving babes was only in the Nintendo 64 version of Duke Nukem 3D. The original PC version of Duke Nukem 3D NEVER featured saving babes (the XBLA version is a direct PC port)

That's the one thing I always thought was stupidly bizarre about DN3D. All you could do was leave the babes, or kill them. I was a sick f#ck and killed them everytime. Just thought of it as putting them out of their misery. Hopefully you'll actually be able to save the babes in DNF.

What exactly do these friggin' aliens want with our babes anyway?

It's been 10 years since I played through the whole thing. Don't really remember the "story".

Guess I'll get there when I get there on my 360.

Hey, aren't you supposed to be uploading new and improved screenshots or something mister?

I don't think I've played the N64 version since it was brand new, and even then not that much. I don't remember this stuff being in there. How exactly did you "save" them?

I heard about it.... I think it was when you pressed use, they disappeared in a blueish glittery dust of glares and sparks, and then they were concidered 'saved'

In DN:MP they wee attached to these 'GLOPP-bombs' And when approaching them and 'using' it, you released them from the straps of the bombs and automatically dearmed the bomb... They didn't disappear though, they just stayed there for your viewing pleasure, haha...

As well as saving the babes in Duke64, it was also integrated into the end-of-level stat screen how many babes you saved out of how many there were (along with how many enemies were killed etc). I thought it was a great addition. Another reason to play through each level.

Ah yeah that was awesome, all babes were saying something like 'Ohh Duke you saved me..!' right under the BOUNCY BOUNCY, while Duke made up another one-liner. Best of all is that you can make them go BOUNCY again and again whenever you want by 'using' the babe over and over again, even with the bomb being disarmed tons of times ago.

WOW I thought this post would die after Steve commented. Heck I forgot about DN: MP I only played it a few times due to my friend letting me borrow it. I agree that saving babes in Duke Nukem Forever would be awesome! Damn aliens shouldn't be able to keep our babes and we can't kill any more babes. lol If it is in the playbook it would be awesome for a save babe feature, but if it takes away from the rest of the game I would rather leave it out. Oh and thanks a lot 3D Realms for giving us all these games and all the great little tid bits of Duke Nukem Forever. Definitely not vaporware.
