I just briefly touched the first level. I don't have any mirror issues. It could be the video option you chose when you configured it.

But now I really have to stop talking about this stuff.

No clue.

Second part (game) you need to tell me in more detail since I can't think of where your talking about.

Re: Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown Thread
There is a secret elevator in Nightmare Zone which can be accessed by a secret switch behind a fire vase in the place where we first saw the female pigcops. There is a hidden bunker down there with a dressing room and another room with forcefield. I saw a video in Youtube, and the FF was deactivated, but when I played it, never managed to shut it down. It's actually a teleporter back to blue key area.

As for the plugin, if you played ePSXe, you supposed to get it somewhere. Not compatible video plugin is possibly the reason of the hall of mirror effects.

Sorry, the release of the teaser got me a little distracted. I'll pop the game in now and get it for you.

- Weird, I kinda liked that level. The control limitations made it more challenging and it's one of the longer levels. Especially liked the underwater portions.

Re: Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown Thread
I have to agree. The 1st level rocks, especially after you find out the puzzles. Basically the only problematic parts are the annoying footprint door puzzle to the main tomb area, and the yellow key trap.

The Scooba pig is in one of the latter levels, it isn't found in the water but in a nightclub.

I'm working on the walkthrough now, version one won't have the secrets in it probably but I do know most of them.

There is no Scuba Pig... it's more of a DJ Pig. That level rocks really, I wish I could see it in PC.

Me too. But now I realized what pig that scuba pig was. Thanks.

I´m trying to rip that dressed pig... it feels frustrating, because the screen looks like a mess with my screen/video recorder. Damn it! Anybody knows better screen recorder program?

BTW, keep it going on that walkthrough, I want to complete Plug and Pray episode perfectly for the first time ever in my life!

Re: Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown Thread
Hey, just discovered this thread and read through it..I think I can answer a few questions:
1. Episode 5 does have 11 levels because it's the multiplayer episode which offers 11 maps (10 of them are normal single player maps for mp, the 11th is quirk of fate)

2. Quirk of Fate was multiplayer only, but there are three ways to get there:
a) get a second playstation, duke tm and a link cable and start a multiplayer match on ps1
b) get one of those cheat-devises like "game shark" which you can plug into your ps1 and open the level by cheat
c) send me a very nice and kind private message, so I will send you the EXACT remake of this map for PC (I used to love this map back in the days and had to have it for pc...)

3. the forcefield in nightmare zone can be deactivated this way:

a)jump down the valley right where you start (you can survive this)
b)down there, look out for the rpg or devestator (not sure now what it was) and blow a whole into the cracked wall which is down there, too. (hard to find because of the textures ;-))
c)through the whole you'll get into a secret area which is a small room. somewhere in that room you can open a hidden door in the wall with a switch behind it ..if you push on the switch it says "unlocked" or something... that'll turn of the forcefield

Re: Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown Thread
how about Faces of Death? the famous level with many battlelords in it? I have been stuck in that level for over a year now. killed every battlelord i've came across after many reloadings only to find out that there's seemingly no exit. On the loading screen it says I av done 69% of the level. To be more specific I'm upto the second chamber with the big metal door that once contained a battlelord which is now slaughtered. this is the plug and pray episode on the ps1. Mine's just called Duke Nukem not Duke Nukem Total Meltdown but its the same game. can someone please tell me if there is an exit and where it is.

Re: Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown Thread
Contrary to the PC version of Faces of Death, the level indeed has an exit on the ps1. the entrance to the exit room is hidden in the wall opposite to this room whre the battleord was in..cross the lava-river (with that dancing chick on the screen) an jump against the wall..there are two hiddne holes somewhere in this wall

my mistake it was answered there's a video tutorial of it, by someone who either hates battlelords or likes killin them

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNylX...watch_response

it always turns out to be something obvious. whoever said you av to leap thru the wall was rite

Dear GAWD thank you thank you thank you!!

After 12 F'ng years FINALLY i got all the secrets to this level!! It drove me insane when I first played. Put it down, would pick it up from time to time over the years. Was missing 2 for soooo long.

What was funny I youtubed it the other day on whim ( really i was just bored at 3a and thought what the heck ) Found one, but for the past couple days I couldnt figure out how to get through the forcefield. I had a feeling today at work it had something to do with the first drop & secret down there. So I googled it and it lead me here. And BAM!!

Again thank you SOOO much.. this was the only lvl i could never complete on the PS1.
