Can 3D Realms please release the Extreme ROTT Player's Guide as freeware in a PDF?

Can 3D Realms please release the Extreme ROTT Player's Guide for free? It is being sold on Amazon along with the expansion. Since the game is free, can the player's guide be released for freeware in a PDF file? I want the player's guide to get the complete story for the game. The guide is over 200 pages.

I'm fairly sure 3D Realms doesn't own the rights to that, and therefore can't release it. The rights to those books belong with the original publishers. Out of print yes, but doesn't mean that they don't retain their copyright.

I'll look into it, but I wouldn't expect we'd be able to do this.
