Apparently 3DRealms have some gum left
So until they get on it I'll just have to relive of my fond memories of the original Duke.

Like the time made a map with a big empty room, the walls of which were semi-transparent and semi-permeable. From inside the walls looked opaque and fired ammo would explode against them. From the secret corridor surrounding the room however you could see and shoot at the poor sap inside the big room with no fear of any retribution. The secret door to access the secret corridor was actually just a holographic wall about knee high, so it couldn't be found by running around the room pressing space bar. You had to crouch and run into the wall.
I used to have endless fun playing over the network with my roomate. I'd set up a holoduke in the room of death and wait in the secret corridor with the Rpg. I'd hear is gasp of glee from the adjacent room as he thought he finally had the drop on me. Then Bam! Rpgs start flying at him from the walls. Hahaha!

I also tortured him with laser trip bombs. To this day probably the most fun I've had playing a video game.
