1680x1050??
I have set the Aspect Ratio to 16:10 wide screen but I cannot get my native resolution of 1680X1050 , is there a problem with this res?

I have tried to set it to 1600X1200 but it reverts back to 800X600.

any help would be great!

Thanks!

Re: Widescreen Resolutions
seta r_customHeight "1050"
seta r_customWidth "1680"
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_aspectRatio "2"

That's what you need to change the four settings to.

Edit: Are you using the dvi out or db 15 pin analog connector ? That WS lcd has been known to have problems with its dvi...

Create an autoexec.cfg in your base folder, and add those settings to it.

Re: 1680x1050??
I just changed those settings in the .preyconfig.cfg file in the prey/base folder.

1)go to the Prey folder on your HDD most likely under C:\Program files.
2)open the Prey folder then the Base folder.
3)double click on the Preyconfig.cfg
4)it may ask you how you want to open it , choose notepad
5)look through that file for those settings and change them as shown
6)if any of those settings are not there add them but they should all be there.
7)exit the file , it will ask to save changes? choose yes

start Prey , your new setting should now work

all you do is paste to notepad and save as autoexec.cfg to your base Prey folder.. This thhen allows you to monkey around with the resolution in game and have it automatically reset to your preferred resolution next time you start Prey
