yeah, i think i could have gotten off on a technicality as there *was* actual dnf news in the issue.

kaiser,

another option is to install a second hd and let it run in raid 1 mode. if your mainboard got no raid controller implemented, buy a raid pci-card. the backup data will be written simultaneously on hd2, which takes over the job, when hd1 fails.
