Those last screenshots look very multiplayer friendly. I hope the whole map is that way.

No, it isn't. The screenshots already show the whole multiplayer friendly part. The rest of the map is very different and it is singleplayer.

But thinking about it, I really could cut the MP friendly part from the rest and make a MP-only map.

No, I never planned to make a MP map.
But if you are interested and if you swear that you will download it, then I'm going to make it MP. I won't make a MP for nothing .

No, seriously, this map became not more than a hobby for me. Now and then I add some details and change shadows.
I don't know when it's going to be done any more.

OFFTOPIC: When I was visiting these forums my first time, I have told you that my english is not very good. Someone has said to me that I should write more. So I have begun to keep posting much. I think up to now I have improved my english a lot. What do you think?
I do not mean to write stupid sentences, I just want to know .

You never were very bad at english when you started - just a couple minor mistakes.

I think your English is better
Edit: Unlike Telee, I didn't notice those mistakes. My bad

The map shots are great, however I think the red skybox should not be there. I think a nice blue one might fit better. Just my 2 cents.

While what he wrote won't be used often, it's still correct. I guess.

Anyway your English is making sense at least

Now; concerning the shots;

That little structure you have in the middle.. the shadow it creates doesn't look quite right. I can't really explain it, though (so this is a helpless comment )

You need more variation in the height of your walls. You could even give them some "volume" by building a sector out of the wall and then raising/lowering those sectors to get a difference in height. Try it out - maybe it'll look much better that way, but right now it looks too "square".

I am pretty sure that I am going to try other skyboxes. But the sun must be in the right place. All shadows outdoor fit perfectly to the sun (yes, I use a very complex system ).
Hmm, do you know a program where I can easily change the red sky into blue?

@sang:
You mean the fountain, right?
I believe the shadows are right, but looking at it, the shadows really seem to be a little bit strange.
Higher buildings sounds good. I will have to change a lot .

BTW, thanks for the compliments about my english . It is difficult to check myself. And many troubles to translate certain words .

You can try
-GIMP http://www.gimp.org/
-GIMPShop http://www.gimpshop.net/ (Gimp with better interface)
or Adobe Photoshop, which is commercial.

The shading in the first shoot doesn't look right, maybe it's the pointy section that is diagonal while it should be straight.

It always help to draw a tridimensional sketch of the scene and use straight lines from the light source to help when adding shades.

From the first shot of the new batch, due to the position of the sun and height of the building, i think the shadows show be closer to the building, because I'd guess it'd be a sharper angle downwards (eg. /|building| )

@gt1750: Thanks. I changed the red sky into blue and it doesn't look good .
I think, I will take a new sunless sky and will add a new sun in the right position.

@DavoX: It must be a diagonal. I already checked it. I think some shadows look bad due to the sharpness of edges, which never appear in real nature. But making them smooth would be too difficult work for me .

@Quakis: I don't understand you. Translation of batch appears very confusiung .
You mean 'sharper angel downwards'. That is already the case.

By the way, check out my screenshots in Duke Nukem forum directory and then select Disco Nukem. Waiting for comments!

Unless the gameplay blows, there's no "could" here - judging from just the shots it'll definitely make it.

Though - Could you, in the future, upload your shots to Imageshack and have a thumbnail instead? It's pretty annoying to have a huge shot on this page load so slowly.

Another video of my level:

It shows only the last part of my map.

If someone wonders that I keep making videos of my map:
I don't think that I will ever release a final version.
So this is a documentary of an never ending project

Maybe I will start a new thread soon

Uh, i liked the begin, but watching someone blowing up with a 999 ammo (wtf?) devestator is only fun for so long.

The code for the rocket-turrets, was that hard? I might 'steal' it, incase i need it later for myself.

The first area of that map needs more work - not advisable to use the same texture for floor, walls and ceiling.

Ehr...Threads like that really have no place anywhere. Anyways, Telee is right. You should never use the same texture for a cieling and wall and a floor. Especially in the same room.
