It's possible to use the same for the floor, cieking and walls, but the choice of textures has to be right. Those are not.

Needs better texturing, more trimwork and more lighting.

Yes, now just darken the floor and the ceiling and it'll look quite good.

Now the floor is too bright but yes - you're heading the right way. I'd add something there - it looks like a basement or something so just be cheap and add some boxes that cast shadows - I think it'd look very good.

Looks a bit nooby, unlike your XBOX map, but whatever - That floor still isn't dark enough in comparance to your wall textures. I'm not talking about actual shading values here, just the way it looks.

Yes, but my xbox map was a true 9 month baby
I started building on this map just a few days ago and it's only the basic design.
On my xbox map, I wasted a long time!

Hallo! I got a problem. On the screenshots below you can see that the turret disapears when the ceiling falls. It is not the case when I use mapster (I only floor-aligned the turret to show you my problem), but in game the turret disapears (even it is aligned to the ceiling). I use SE 32, ceiling fall.
The second screenshot shows how it should be. On the next screenshot you can see the failure.
Please help me!

Re: Is this a good start?
Finally I fixed it!
The way to solve that problem was to use a ST 18, elevator down (first and second screenshot).
Nobody can see the flour sinking, because it effects when you are coming into the room (last screenshot).

So how do I upload my map?

^What he said. Put your map, the ART file, and in case you're using a high res texuture, the def(s) and the folder where your texture is (if it's in a folder) in a RAR or ZIP archive.

Re: Is this a good start?
So, what would I have to put into the archiv?

Can i make a file, that automally starts my map and loads my custom texture?
So that any user can play my map without installing anything.

Otherwise every user would have to include my custom texture in the hrp file and the art file into duke.grp.

Arrr, it's very difficult to explain my requests in english!

EDIT: Damn!, I am too slowly!
@Sang: Thanks, I'll try it!

Re: Is this a good start?
You don't have to include your custom textures in the entire HRP pack or the GRP file if it's an ART file. By that I mean, if you have a custom Tiles014.art in your dir, it will override the Tiles014.art from the GRP and the program will use that instead.

Well understood! Thanks a lot!

BTW, did you test my map?
The map currently ends in a blue tall corridor. There the map will be continued.

3rdh and 4th shot look really good, 1st and 2nd could use more work (especially 1st) - I think you need to change the ceiling texture.

As for the last shot, looks a bit average, but it's nice

Re: Is this a good start?
I really don't want to change the ceiling on the first screenshot, because I aligned the textures with the lights and that was much work
And I also think that the ceiling texture fits perfectly to the room.

But you are right, I should add some details into that room.

The last screenshot shows the current end of my map. It will be continued there, so this place will also be changed a little.

Hey "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" so if you like your work you should just leave it the way you like it, ultimately you are the boss, it is your map, good work I can't wait to see the finished product!
