Wonder what Duke's holding in his left hand.

And good to see that it looks like they've fixed the hair since the teaser.

Ow my goodness! New picture of Duke makes me feel happy - it looks better, really better than the other models! Now I'm just thinking why 3D Realms avoid PS3 platform - I remember that first Duke 3D was on PS One... but nevermind.

Even though the PS3 is my console, I wouldn't be surprised at all that they wouldn't make one, since I hardly believe 3drealms getting one version of this game done, let alone two or three with different coding requirements. Maybe if they switch to the Klik n' Play or Game Factory engine...

Converting a game from PC to PS3 is a lot more work than converting it from PC to Xbox360. PS3 hardware is quite different.

To be more accurate, converting it well is a lot more work. Knocking something up for the PS3 would be relatively easy.

A Wii version would be good for interactivity, especially with the full body awareness, but that's another load of work.

I really hope they outsource the PS3 version. What about venom games they already ported Prey to X360. I hope I have enough money when the DNF gets released but I would also buy a PS3 version.

Well, from commercial standpoint, PC+Xbox 360 market is bigger than PC+PS3 market, so the choice is obvious based on that fact alone.

Specially since if you go the PC+360 route MS will completely back you. But, from a realistic view I don't see 3DR doing a PS3 port.

The PS3's development kits and hardware architecture is a bitch to develop on. So many developers have complained and gripped about it... hell Valve won't touch the PS3 due to "personal opinions and preference".

I didn't want to make a joke about the "reference".
My question was ....are we reaching a shore....or facing a storm???

Please George... "Make it so!..."

Ok, so here I'm making a comparison with a modified picture I've made of the Duke thumbnail... I changed the hue and saturation of his hair to make it closer to the original... So what do you guys think? Albino Duke or Original Duke?

I think you really haven't seen overdone bodybuilders, at all...the Duke from the teaser has a normal build for a hero and this is probably the same body model as the teaser.

I wish I could offer my services. Nothing would be cooler than to have my name in the credits of this game.

However, while I feel fairly sure I could manipulate UnrealEd to a half-feasible degree, despite having barely used it (I have good intuition and 3D awareness), I'm useless as an artist so I couldn't offer any textures, and I'm sure I'm not up to the 3D Realms standards.

I could help some more if you asked for concept designs for levels, though.

I just don't want people getting too excited over this. The teaser trailer in Dec was about all the teasing we'd planned on. We weren't sure when, or if, this show would ever appear. I look forward to seeing what Jason did with the show. I can promise you that the next time you see the game it'll be in substantial form.

Scott Miller he started programming early ( in the 70's )

Also what and how easy is it to convert PC to XBOX 360, just as a side question which is on topic to the max, you can get things to work with the defunct console The Dreamcast.

What's more surprising is how easy is it to learn to code with Unreal 2004 Tournament ?

Where's the read me ?

It's hard to tell from such a small screen shot, but at first glance it looks like Duke has been made to look much better, much more accurate. That weird wide nose and big monkey lip look everyone was talking about from the December video seems to be gone now (thank goodness!).

Have to wait until we have a good high res picture to know for sure, but so far it appears Duke looks like Duke is supposed to look!

Don't think so, with unreal you can have any model you want and have it do whatever you want in any conditions. This is dangerously getting into Killzone 2 modified screenshots lameness
