Is it iPad exclusive, or will it work on the smaller iPod Touch as well? Is it just a general Apple App?

Well there is the regular app for iPhone and Touch devices. This one is made for the iPad.

this is real iTunes opened and I was able to see it, but didn't purchase it, I have an iPod Touch 2nd gen and had to turn off the mirrors, so it would play smoothly.

Umm if the dual sticks are at the lower corners as shown in the screenshots.. this is gonna be an issue the iPad is 1.5 lbs and holding it too low will make it uncomfortable. Nova has the sticks in the right place.

anyone who cares it's 0.99 on iTunes either version, if my memory serves me correctly, if you own a first gen ipod touch or iPhone, avoid it.

The controls in Duke Nukem 3D for the Ipod touch were horrible... But I remember hearing they released an update to fix them somewhere.
