making statues indestructable?
hi there,
I want to put some of those geisha-statues in my map as seen in "raw meat", but I want them to be indestructable .. is there a way to do that? thx in advance!

The statues are hardcoded to be destroyed when you shoot them. This can be prevented with CON code, but it's messy. An easier solution would be copying the tiles a custom art file and then using the copied tiles instead of the originals (you would also need to include new CON code, but it would be cleaner). Either way it means making your map into a mod, though.

dammit..I was hoping there'd be some pal value or spritetag to achive my goal, cuz con editing really isn't for me. maybe something like this can be implemented in the next version of eduke32/mapster32 ? (please don't tear me appart in case this is asked too much for

You could also try enclosing the statues inside of invisible walls, although I don't know if that would protect them from splash damage.

This is only half relevant but I'm assuming there's also no easy way to make the vent sprites indestructable? Explosions in my map always destroy them before I can even use them.
