ThinkPad touchpad buttons not working - hardware problem?
Two of the touchpad buttons (left-click and right-click) on my IBM ThinkPad T42 stopped working a few years ago. The strange is, both of the buttons stopped working at about the same time. I updated the drivers, but the problem still persists.

My laptop actually has two sets of touchpad buttons, one above the touchpad and one below it. The buttons above the touchpad work perfectly, but the ones below do not work at all. Could this be a hardware issue?

What thinkpad model do you have? Could you post a picture, as I also have a thinkpad (T23 model) and I may be able to help you.
