Re: The "What Did You Think Of Prey?" Thread
I have only a clue as to what a 'portal wrench' is... sounds cool.

Enisi: "Tommy, your spirit surrounds you. When inhuman acts occur before your eyes...please try not to use the F-word everytime you are at a loss for words. Profanity is a rush of thoughtless reaction. Yet do not underestimate the encouragement of an audience to wildly fling expletives, like spiritual arrows, to the... uh..."

...and: bumming around the busted casino 6 days later is a fate worse than death. gotta get outside, through those doors that won't open.

PREY is an awesome game. I felt that I (Tommy) should have finally perished after all that 'I' had done to stop the madness of the harvest...

The fact is: finishing the game made me feel something i had not expected. There was a sense of accomplishment; but since there were no "actual" stopping points (breathing points) (benchmarks) (restbits),
I can understand why i keep reading about the quick adventures of those who can play until there's no more game left to play...
Non-stop action is an interesting ideal; but we've all heard about the guy that died playing ever-quest.

anyway, and all that aside... I love PREY. I want to help!

Prey 2 it just has to exist... if not, then a great game wouldn't be outside to play.... my opinion,

Well hello

One week ago I finally bought Prey, and about two days ago I finished it. What do I think? Well, it was an excellent game, definitely the best on D3 engine I played (I didn't like Doom 3 at all, Quake 4 was much better, but Prey is the King) ;-)

Positive: Great graphics, impressive soundtrack, great thinks like portals and gravity shifts, nice story, easter eggs, high fun-factor.
Negative: Not so many enemies, not perfect AI, end could be better.

Anyway, I think I'll take a week or two pause, and try the second play (on higher difficulty).

But don't forget: on higher level there is no spirit world. When you die, you die for good... i tryed it once and i came to 3th level, then i died.
I think that you need to restart the whoal level, if you die...

Tommy just didn't have a chance... not with me...

Uhmm huh? On higher level there's no spirit world? I replay the game now on the highest difficulty and the spirit world is the only way to gain health...

Or did you mean something else?

I have mixed nuts when it comes too prey, I liked it and I didn't like it at the same time. The story was new and improvising through the game was new but it still felt like a generic shooter aswell as I don't like the doom 3 engine.

Peace out

Hi 3dRealms,

I just finished prey (Got it a couple of days ago after remembering how great the multiplayer demo was, thank god you guys left in the per polygon hit detection, what a god send) anyways, just wanted to say great job on playing out the story. I am not sure I have seen a story played out better in a game as to date. Half life 2 was interesting but it never seemed to actually "play out" just a bunch of suspense and not a lot of actual story. This was quite movie like and left me with a smile on my face =) Definetely the first time I actually sat through the game credits for a game, like I do with good movies.

Danke!!
