Hey again everyone! Time for some updates
Our great mapper Panamius is busy with a Bar karaoke level now, for a Blade storyline. Look at few screenshots of kitchen from this level, you can see a real quality objects here

Sooner or later, update is inevitable It's just a matter of time
So now we are presenting the new level called Sewers (made by me) and new type of enemies called Crawlers (credits for them to LAZER)
Crawlers are pretty fast guys, doing some crazy jumps, spins and using their long claws to fight. All this makes fight with them very intersting and unexpected
Look at the screens and be sure yourself

Thats cause its from the "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines" game. They extracted all the models from that game, and are putting it into a max payne 2 mod, not a good idea, not sure if thats legal.

I dont see there being a problem with that.
Troika games wich were behind vampire the masquerade games is dead.
And we dont make any profit what so ever, so we havent really done anything wrong.

Look, this looks like a great mod. But giving it away for free doesn't change a thing about copyright laws. It is still illegal. Troika is defunct, so you probably won't get any trouble using their models. But it is still illegal. And who knows what other stuff you have in there? For example, it seems you use tracks of Rammstein and Rob Zombie in V1 of your mod, which is copyrighted music. Wake up! You can't just run around and take stuff.

Not sure about TRW, but in New Dawn ALL the character models and character textures were custom made except for somethings tweaked from original MP2 content. There are only 2 things the team re-used as far as I remember. The first one being the original MI2 BG score and the other being the concept of making a MI2 mod itself.

You see one start off, everyone loves it then one person reminds us of copyright. It's just a bunch of gamers wanting to create something that people enjoy. The official Matrix games are average at best, but The Real World gives us what we want. Copyright be damned, I want to play Vampire Slayer.

but I think its a good idea to inform the creator of this mod that it may be illegal, that's all.

I sure have, but my point remains.

Imo, the most popular mods for games are those based on movies, and the copyright of using material those movies is a touchy subject. With games it's more black and white, you either took that model/sound/texture/code or you didn't. Whether people will care or not is another matter, and I really don't, seeing as it's non profit.

If it was a retail game or something to be sold, then I'd be all for copyright laws stopping it, and sometimes PC gaming magazines print out software discs that contain mods, so that could be risky.

This is getting off topic anyway, perhaps we should think of a way to remedy the problem. Should he remove the models from the Vampire game and make his own? Maybe there's someone who can provide him with suitable vampire replacements.

Alright, I decided to make a little, but long awaited update
This is one of my latest made levels, called The Garden. It's in japanese-gothic style. You can see here the bridge, the waterfall and breakable bamboo trees. It's pretty fun to fight inside this little bamboo forest

Looking nice, two things. Lighting, your basic lighting might be abit to high, I needs more contrast to light/dark. Also add decals garbage etc. Because now it looks very clean and you can see the repeating in the tiles

Hi Hitman nice progress there. Kozak pretty much summed it up.

But since it seems you've modified on my skybox, I thought of adding a few words. The moon and the stars are coming infront of the trees(check the 1st screenshot). The mesh arrangement wasn't prepared so there's any tree or something. Hence maybe you can make the trees smaller in your bitmap, or do something which will avoid that issue.

Great work and keep going ...... don't friggin' stop.
