It was confirmed a long long long time ago.
Back in Jan of 2009 George said something about messing with the d-pad for the Xbox port on his Twitter.

Also, learn to spell.

I pride myself on good grammar, it is what separates the feeble minded from the smart ones. But you will just turn around with an irrational reason like "it is the Internet, I see no reason to type effectively." or some bullshit like that. Not with grammar that well done however.

On a side note, I do not own any of the "next-gen" systems, so it is all irrelevant to me.

You are correct but maybe the guy does not speak english verry well (like me ) but he has to because you guys don't speak anything else. (And it's an American site/forum)

I am not disrespecting him, or anybody, all that is really wrong is his title and lack of punctuation. Oh, and extreme amount of exclamation marks, I am just picky is all.

I'm the type of person, when given mod powers, I go around making sure all of the thread title are spelled correctly, but that is just being nit-picky.

Nope, all that was said was that George was messing with the D-pad for an Xbox controller, NOT that he was messing with it for a port. Xbox controllers work on PCs, so it wasn't really confirmed.

"Working on item interface and 360 d-pad layouts."

Learn to get your facts straight.

Facts are, confirmed or not the game will be on the 360. Having said that, this looks to be yet another unneeded thread in the DNF section.

I hate speculating, but why would he say specifically "360" d-pad layouts? You can use any gamepad on a computer with the right software. Why work solely on the 360 layout? If it is intended for the PC, the majority of true gamers would have a way better gamepad then a 360 controller.

Yes, it is unneeded, but most of us have nothing better to do anyway, just waiting to go to bed.

There is no speculating Twitch. The game will be on the 360 and George pretty much said that the Duke 3D port was made so that him and his developers could get a feel for how developing for the 360 works. There is way too much money to be made on the 360 to not have it there. Anybody who doesn't believe that is lying to themselves. The 360 version of DNF will outsell the PC version by a wide margin.

we've known since at least the first lawsuit release that there was definitely a DNF 360 port.

and you miss spelled 'confirmed'.

I know there is no speculating, I just didn't wanna come off as a douche and call him a straight out moron. But I am a douche, so avoiding that fact is sometimes hard.

Also, as per usual however. Even thought the 360 version will outsell, as per most 360 games, it will suck epic balls.

This is another reason why there should be a certain amount of posts you have until you can make a thread.

Just FYI that's pc. We added 360 controller support to the pc version to force the game to run and operate well on a 360 controller, well in advance of any 360 work. It made you focus your interface and controls into a controller as well as solve some lingering design issues. We were also asking people to play maps with the controller so we could identify problem areas that worked well with a mouse and keyboard, but were too hard with a controller.
