DN3D XLA Forum Tournament
So, admittedly I've been away from these forums for a few, some faces I remember others are new...
Another post asked about former Ten players and Xbox and it spurred a thought in my noggin. Why not have a tournament? Have a set amount of 8 man matches, with the top 4 advancing to the next round (I'd like to have it double elimination, bottom four getting a second chance to redeem themselves, we all have off-nights). I do forsee some issues that would be worked out, but I wanted to poll the audience for initial interest. If you are please feel free to comment. It all depends on response and if there's enough of it to go forward. Open to anyone here, just have to have a 360, XBL & DN3D come the 24th.

Re: DN3D XLA Forum Tournament
Sounds like a good idea, but not for me. I'm really bad when it comes to competition. Not to say I suck but I don't like losing and it would be pretty much unavoidable. It's best I treat it as a one at a time deal

Hard to organize due to the world wide nature of the net, but if pulled off, it could be cool.

Re: DN3D XLA Forum Tournament
Hence the issues to work out. That's why I figured to gain some feedback on interest. If there's enough I'll hold registration then get an idea on situations from everyone and then try as best as humanly possible to get it working.
There are some worst case scenarios, but I'll deal with them when I know there's enough interest. (For those of you who are wondering) Other issues include: Match length, Maps, Round Robin, What to do if the majority make it to a match but two don't. If there should be double elimination. etc.

Re: DN3D XLA Forum Tournament
Why not have it done in stages according to time zones? Like EDT & CST for zone one, MST & PST for zone two (etc) then have the top three from each zone play at an organized time (like zone 1 & 2 at say 10pm EST which would be 7pm PST) till you have the top 3 for the world? That should eliminate a lot of the time zone problem for ppl. Just a thought.

Re: DN3D XLA Forum Tournament
Time zones has crossed my mind, thanks for the feedback. It'd depend on feedback, but if there's enough from the sections it'd work.
