you don't need save games to play the hard boiled version. follow the ultra specific steps below:-


1)create a shortcut of the maxpayne.exe in desktop or wherever.

2)Select the shortcut icon (the popular way to check whether you have selected the icon or not is to notice that the icon darkens when you do this. If the icon is darkened, then you can be sure that the shortcut icon is selected)

3)Now that you have selected the icon, right click on the shortcut and click on the "properties" in the pop-up/pop-down menu.

4)You'll notice that a dialog box pops up. choose the "shortcut" tab.

5)You'll see a box that accepts text input in front of "Target :"

6)The address of the original icon will be enclosed in double quotes.

7)click on the text input box.

8)press "end" button in your keyboard.

9)press "space bar" button in your keyboard

10)Type everything inside the <>

.................... <-developer>

11)press OK button using the mouse.

12)Double click on the shortcut icon and everything seems normal at first.

13)click on the new game option.

14)you'll see that the locked hard boiled, New York minute options have been unlocked.

15)you can choose to play the "New York Minute" and choose the chapter and part you want to play.

New York minute is much like the hard boiled except for the annoying time running on the top of the screen.

I'm totally sorry if this is what you wanted.

If you're wondering if I'm pulling your leg with the ultra specific instructions, then let me tell you that right now, I'm completely pissed off (ahem! distressed) with what is happening to my real world life ( the other life that i spend outside this box in front of me). Right now, there's nothing else that I'd wanna be doing other than this.

As for your english, don't bother much. You can learn it easily.

about saves ..........I have alllready played max payne in (hard boiled) version
but the problem is when i reach chapter 5 in part 3 the play canot load this leve becouse this reason {{ invalid data read from an r_memory file(19_third_adressunknown.ldb)}} .........

can enyone solve this prblem?

( when i play game in detective version i passed this prblem by downloading asave for chapter six and the leve (chapter 6) download and i completed the game and start hard boiled version ) so when i search for asave in (hard boiled) for chapter six i couldnot fined it ....so i ask enyone to bring asave for (6,7or 8) chapter

about learning Engllish..........this is my third year in learning english (im biginer)......but i know that englih could bee learned by uesig him in my live so icame here in order to live in an ENGLISH place .............and i will learn english by listening for cartoon and filmes and ............ playing max payne too.... (his story help me in learning english so i listen to his story alot it is helping me realy)

Try re-installing the game. It looks like there's a missing or corrupt file.

You can't learn english without attending classes. You need to improve your spellings and grammer. The forums can help only after you've done all that.
