EDuke32, single & multiplayer problems.
Hello,
First, when EDuke32 is launched, it find errors in the GAME.CON included in GRP (Because there isn't an GAME.CON file with eduke32.exe). The error is displayed like this : Code:
Using group file 'duke3d.grp' as main group file. Compiling: GAME.CON (151190 bytes) Including: DEFS.CON (35992 bytes) Including: USER.CON (45482 bytes) GAME.CON: In actor `ORGANTIC': GAME.CON:3968: warning: found `else' with no `if'. GAME.CON: In state `pigshootenemystate': GAME.CON:5891: warning: found `else' with no `if'. Found 2 warning(s), 0 error(s). The worse is that it don't start under YANG, and I get these 2 errors under Dx (That start it). I hope these probs can be fixed, thanks for help

Re: EDuke32, single & multiplayer problems.
They are warnings and not errors and every single vanilla setup of Duke Nukem will show the exact same thing if using the latest Eduke32. They will not cause an out of sync, you will be getting out of sync because of other issues. (modified files, poor internet connection ect)
If it's not starting under YANG that also means you don't have YANG setup correctly.

Re: EDuke32, single & multiplayer problems.
You may get out of sync issues if you're using a con file that isn't the same as the con file the other person(people) are using.

Re: EDuke32, single & multiplayer problems.
You'd be surprised how many people don't know.
If I'm understanding you correctly, your CON files are compiled into your GRP file? If that's the case, kextract them into your duke base directory. |

Re: EDuke32, single & multiplayer problems.
That won't make any difference if using Eduke32 for online play because it reads the CON from inside the group. IIRC Xduke needs them though to work correctly. His sync issue will most likely come down to either his internet or the hosts being to crap.
