Re: An exclusive for Italy!
I wonder if MP2 will show bullet wounds and stuff on models in-game, or if it will be like in MP1 where they only change expressions when they die.
Also, will there be moving mouths/lips this time?

Re: An exclusive for Italy!
Instead of just complaining about Max looking different, has anyone tried to figure out why? I'm sure there's a reason.
This is pure speculation, but we know that the movie rights for Max Payne were aquired some time ago. If they had cast the part of Max, it would be foolish to model the game character after Sam Lake again. It's probably not the right reason, but it's certainly reasonable. I doubt they'd arbitrarily change Max's distinctive face without a motive.

Re: An exclusive for Italy!
There's a difference between universally recognized professional actors and professional actors, Jade. There are actors around the world that people in other countries do not know much of.
And even if you aren't a internationally recognized actor, you can still be a damn good one.

Second - Duke has a distinctive LOOK, but not a distinctive FACE, so your comparison is not valid. |

Re: An exclusive for Italy!
Somehow i feel this is a smart move, definitively against industry conventions but that's what makes it interesting. I get the feeling the plot is gonna be even better this time around (and that's saying a lot), more 'mature' perhaps. Mature, I don't know i see that old lad and that's the only word that comes to my mind
Can't wait to hear more on this game after seeing this! |

Re: An exclusive for Italy!
I was wondering, do our Italian friends know when the magazine is coming out? Or the French about the other magazine? How about the German PC Games? PCZone UK?
I really don't know myself, and I am kind of itching to see those |

Re: An exclusive for Italy!
All I know is I don't care what he looks like since the model looks so good in the picture. I just want to see some in game screens and find out whether or not he still has the same voice. Provided he has the same voice, I'm all smiles.

Re: An exclusive for Italy!
I agree that i'll miss sam's face, but come on guys...we have to trust the developers. AND sam. I'm sure that since he's the writer he probably had a say in it. And if it was his decision or if he could agree with the rest of the team to change the look of max payne, then I'm just going to assume that they know what they're doing.
Besides, he looks a LOT more like a detective/cop, whereas in the first one he looked more like a bent rebel lashing out at whoever he could get his hands on. And its not like you're looking at his face when you're playing the game |

anyway, that's what some of the users of pc games online had to say about the recently published pictures: "max doesn’t look like max anymore. his cool hawaiian shirt vanished, too. this way he looks like some bedraggled investigator." "i don’t believe this guy is actually meant to be max payne. he looks much older whereas mona sax still has the same young features as in part one. well, we’ll see if max is going to look that old and past it in the final game." "didn’t he spent a relatively long time in prison after part one? it would have left its marks on him, of course." "i don’t find his new looks that awful. he aged a bit and has a slight 'dirty harry-touch' now. i’m waiting for the outcome." "the new max doesn’t look like the old one at all. even if he aged he wouldn’t look the way he looks now." "this is definitely not max payne! and if he is, i’d be extremely disappointed. as if 'dirty harry 2' wasn’t done with clint eastwood but gene hackman instead. that simply doesn’t fit. give me back the cool, hawaiian shirts and necklace-wearing max payne!" "the bullettime action looked cool and dynamic when old max did it but when i take a look at the new model now, i have to smile.... on the other hand it might be interesting to see how max changed in the course of time, not only externally but also regarding his feelings and actions." "compare this guy to the artwork!!! it’s definitely not max. most striking are his features and the missing sideburns. maybe it’s his superior, a baddie, or his father?" pc games magazine will be published in early july. i'm quite excited about their comment on the subject.
