I've decided to stop my bløgg due to the uncertain future of this forum. The reason I started writing these was to share my passion for Formula 1 and I hope I have sparked an interest in the sport in at least one person. If that has happened, I have fulfilled my mission.
If you want to follow the sport (apart for the TV broadcast specifics for each country (say hello, Bernie Ecclestone!)) you can read news, features,...

Jenson Button drove superbly and made a very important overtake in the first corner. He totally deserved the win. Vettel was held up by Trulli who was on the medium tyre compound in the middle stint. Both of them drove well, but couldn't match Button and the strategy of Brawn.
Hamilton was mind blowing off the line, he overtook so many cars. I think the McLaren KERS is the best in F1. Barrichello should have been on the podium.
Räikkönen must feel some satisfaction....

This is the first front row ever for Toyota and the veteran one lap specialist takes the pole. Now they just need to win, the pressure from Tokyo must be incredible.
Vettel is keeping up his form and Button is up there too. Hamilton is making the most out of the new developments for his MP4-24 and Barrichello had understeer out of the last corner. Alonso didn't showboat with a super-low fuel load, hopefully he can fully utilise his KERS off the line, Hamilton must be thinking this...

Excellent work by Vettel and Webber, Red Bull's first win and it's a 1-2 on top of that. Red Bull destroyed Brawn today, Button beat Barrichello who had balance issues and was not fast. They ended up 45 and 63 seconds respectively after Vettel.
Kovalainen beat Hamilton, both drove well, but Hamilton had an eventful race with many spins and off-track excursions.
Glock too was in the wars and he collided with Kubica in a race incident that spun Kubica around.

Q1:
Kubica is the big player here and he starts in P18. BMW are always very late out in qualifying and maybe this time it bit them. Piquet is a bad qualifier, he may lose his drive soon. Alonso have beat him 21-0. Bourdais made a mistake and the Force Indias lack downforce.
Knocked out thus far:
P16 Bourdais - Toro Rosso
P17 Piquet - Renault
P18 Kubica - BMW
P19 Sutil - Force India
P20 Fisichella - Force India
