New to Prey...

Hi guys Im new to this board and new to the game Prey. I installed it on my pc and started playing it and its great so far just started last night and have read the walkthrough from IGN. Can anyone give me any hints and tips for a new guy playing this. By the way im not real crash hot at this type of game?

Well, first off, I would say don't even bother with the walkthrough. Prey has a lot of charm to it's levels, and it really loses a lot of the awe when you know how to get through every level without any exploring or planning, expecially your first time through. I'd more use the walkthrough as a last resort if you've been stuck for 10 - 15 minutes and you have no idea where to go.

The games actually fairly simple though once you get used to it. It just takes a while to adjust to looking at things with a new perspective. For instance, whenever you get to an area where you can't figure out where to go, try looking around at the walls or the cielings for "floor" panels you can shoot to change the gravity. Or if you're near a stack of boxes, see if there's a portal inside any of them to another area.

Also, i you see a blue sun shaped mark on the wall/ceiling/floor, that's a signal that you need to leave your body momentarily, and use spirit mode to solve a puzzle or get to the next area. A lot of the time if you see a forcefield, you need to switch to your spirit mode to get to the other side, as that allows you to pass through the forcefields.

^Your description remind me how cool Prey was. Not very long, but enjoyed every minute on it.
