Editing Shadow Warrior's .grp file
I have nowhere else to ask for this.

I'm trying to edit anything in SW.GRP (got the gog version, but it should be the original grp file).

I tried with Group File Studio. If I save it, the game will cease to run.

GRPViewer won't save it at all.

I can see the files and I can extract it, but I can't change anything. I can't find a program that works with Shadow Warrior's grp files.

Can anyone help?

You might also try asking on the modding forum at RGB Classic Games.

Hmm, I remember I could edit SW.GRP with Group File Studio 3.1, and it worked fine. However, it should be noted that I used the modified GRP with ProAsm's port, and I can't be sure it also worked with the DOS executable.

If you have access to a Linux machine, Camoto can handle .GRP files quite well, if you don't mind using the command line. It will let you extract, append, overwrite, rename and reorder files inside a .GRP file, as well as a bunch of other similar file formats.

Try saving the GRP file under a different name then run it like a TC.

Right, I think I had to do that with ProAsm too. My memory is quite a bit fuzzy about that though.
