Xbox 360 Prey Trailer out Monday on G4

Cool, i'm getting it now...
I'll post my opinion right after seeing it...

It seems like the trailer, is the exact same one as the one Yatta has on his site...

But now, i have a backup at least...

If you look at the link, you can see that it is the same one because it's being hosted at the same place.

Imho that's a good example how to make a bad game tailer. The sequences are too fast at the beginning, not much to see at all. The first trailer was much better. And im not talking about the quality of the video.

But and at the end, i have to admit that it looks really amazing, looking forward to it!

True, but I think that most people are still interested in it and will look for more info. Especially the console gamers. Don't forget, they are a few games behind the PC gamers because they came in late, and there has been a serious lack of good FPS games on consoles iirc.

and one minute isn't too short to show the cool features... showing a wallwalk takes 5 seconds, a portal also 5 seconds, and a switch that turns around gravity another 5 seconds... then you have 45 seconds left to show various other things.

5 seconds is to short for that IMO. I agree that they could have shown some puzzles though, but still, I believe it's a trailer for the mass of people, not the few. IMO that is.
Besides, the wallwalk and portal stuff was in.

Anyways, it made me want to see the trailer again, and i still totally love the soundtrack...

for someone that didn't know the background about prey, they won't even know it's a portal, and if they see it they'll think it's just one occasion where that happens... just like lots of trailers show scripted sequences that only appear once in the game
but anyway, one minute is enough to show a few different wallwalks and portals, and at least one gravity switch and still have room for the mindless killing showoff.

the new one direct feed teaser got quite a better quality. it's pretty dark anyway, so in 640x360 you can spot something at least.

2k Games heeft onlangs een trailer voor de Xbox 360 beschikbaar gesteld van Prey, de first-person shooter in ontwikkeling bij Human Head Studios onder supervisie van 3D Realms. Prey vertelt een nogal vreemd verhaal van een Indiaan genaamd Tommy, werkzaam in een garage, wie met zijn volk wordt ontvoerd naar een ruimteschip dat de aarde omcirkelt. Daarin dient hij zichzelf en zijn vriendin te redden en uiteindelijk, zelfs zijn planeet. Het spel belooft een diep en emotioneel verhaal met elementen als liefde en opoffering. Behoorlijk wat diepgaande taferelen voor een first-person shooter als je het ons vraagt!

Het spel maakt gebruik van enkele frisse gameplayconcepten binnen het first-person shootergenre, zoals het omkeren van de zwaartekracht en magnetische banen waarover je tegen muren en plafonds op kunt lopen. Hoewel de trailer een beetje een onsamenhangend beeld geeft van de game, zou het allemaal uiteindelijk wel eens heel leuk uit gaan kunnen pakken. De 60-seconden durende trailer vind je hier.

2K games recently released a prey trailer for the Xbox 360, the first person shooter being developed at Human Head and under supervision of 3D realms. Prey tells quite a weird story about an Indian (note by Cerberus: we don't call them Native Americans in dutch) named tommy who has a garage, and is kidnapped together with the others by a giant space ship that encircles Earth.
He has to save himself, his girlfriend, and finally even his planet!
The game promises a deep and emotional storywith elements as love and sacrifice. Quite deep elements for a first person shooter if you ask us!

The game uses some fresh gameplay mechanics within the FPS genre like reversing gravity and magnetic pads allowing you to walk on walls and ceilings. The trailer doesn't give a really good indication of what the game is like, but after all the game could still be fun. You can download the 60-seconds trailer here.
