Nice, I didn't know that 3D Realms is working on another game besides Duke Nukem Forever.

I always enjoy reading Scott's interviews.

I know he touches on the Xbox 360 online strategy. In that same vain, I'd
love for 3drealms to look into getting some of their classic games up on Xbox Live arcade. I know there's apparently alot of red tape to cut through in doing it but I absolutely love it(I actually play live arcade more than my 360 games).

I'm finding less and less use for these "interviews", which are obviously a list of emailed questions and responses, with no opporunity to probe or challenge or address dodges.

I email the interview questions for my site (I'm conducting an interview right now), and they usually go two or three rounds because I like to respond to their answers and probe, challenge or address dodges. Actually, no one ever dodges me, but my point is that an email interview can be as good as a face to face interview. Better, actually, because both sides have more time to think about the questions and answers.

I'd love to interview Scott about Apogee's legacy, since he didn't do one for the Legacy series. My site isn't exactly "big time", and he's probably more interested in talking about the future than the past. I wonder if I should ask.

Re: miller's interview
face-tof-ace is better, because then you can make him more nervous (he's gotta answer fast) with some interesting questions.

i remember the same situation was with one valve developer when interviewing - he accidentally said Breen would appear in EP2

Then get yourself a job with one of these places, and ask the questions yourself instead of just griping about what's out there.

I do a lot of side activities, like karate, working out, snow skiing, Texas Hold ‘em, and watching a lot of shows on all of those science channels. I haven’t seen Lost, 24 or Battlestar Galactica yet! My Tivo prefers The Discovery Channel.

Right; because I don't care for emailed interviews, I should change careers. But then the next time I want to gripe about politics, I should just run for office. But when I'm elected, and I don't like the catering at my swearing-in afterparty, instead of griping I should resign from office and start a catering business.

Except now I don't like how you're running these forums. Where do I send my application?

First, running a business is a minor effort
Yeah, but actually developing games is, eh?

Seriously, this sounds quite arrogant to me. It's obviously not that minor for all those small companies that get squished despite having both skill and ambition. I guess all these guys are stupid, hmm?

Generally, the issue of making us care about game characters. This is so easy in TV shows, movies and books, yet so difficult in games. We have an unannounced game that will be a giant experiment toward making characters far more memorable. I think that once we, as an industry, get better at this, games will finally be seen as equal as an art form as other media.
I'm 100% with you, Scott. Right direction.
