Whic soundtrack was better. MP1 or MP2?
What do you think about the soundtrack... Personally I think the musics were good, but they didn't played the same role as in MP1... there I think they were a bit more in the foreground, but here I missed the music a lot of times, even when I've set the volume to the maximum...

Music of Max Payne 2 is definately better then music in Max Payne 1 (which was quite good too). I like both themes of Max Payne 1+2

HANDS DOWN Max Payne 2 music rocks your boxers!

How can anyone not love the sad, deep cello in the main theme. That is freakin sad! You totally feel what Max Payne is going through with that music.

And the other piece of music/song that I love also that I ripped form the actual game is called : Mona - The Professional
Love the riff and vibe is brings out in the game during shooting and running. It's also a good song to hear on its own. Great for working out...

Max Payne 1 music was cool too, but Max Payne 2 really owns you.

Awesome job on the music for this sequel. A+ all the way.

The sequel had a better variety of music. I like how they played that rather 'scandalous' sounding song while Max was doing the uhuh uhuh with Mona, lol. But the themes worked together nicely. The fact that they used the same theme for the second but with a violin instead was a nice touch. You might see that as meaning time has progressed but certain things never change in Max's world.

I think the theme music for Max Payne is better, has a little more texture to it, there's just
something about it that rings true. But the cello version in Max Payne II is quite nice, too.
Both have a somber quality that fits Max and the trouble he's involved in so well.

Anyone know a link where we can download the main theme from the first Max Payne game
in a high quality mp3 file?

Thanks for any info.!

Not talking about other tracks... The theme in Max Payne 2 was more... "advancen" and everything, I like it a lot. But when I learnt to play the theme on piano I realized the the original, as a piece of music, is more valuable.

Hmm...just wondering..am I the only one who HATES "Late Goodbuye"-song?
Oh well...anyways...the question. I think the both games have very good music in overall, but somehow I think...that I liked more MP1.

I love the main theme of MP1 and MP2. But the theme to MP2 is much better.

Re: Which soundtrack was better... MP1 or MP2?
The music style of the first game is the better.

I mean, I still play the theme from Byzantine Power Game in my head. The music was just like from out of the movies, and fit perfectly with the moods and themes of the different area.

Even ambient noise was used more effectively, like at the nightclub, with the door opening and closing with the wind... freaked me out when I first played it.

Speaking of which... they really should release a soundtrack.

Liked both. In MP1 you've got the really cool music that played in Byzantine Power Game, in MP2 you've got Late Goodbye.. As well as some others.

The music is good in both games, it seems more aged and mature in the second game as time has passed in between both games. So yeah both games are good.

Did anyone ever manage to extract the sound? I want to listen to it while walking around shopping and junk.
