Ras-Mp2M Master
My freeloading uncle moved in recently, and he installed a bunch of crap noone but him needs. In the process, he made it so that I can't use Ras-Mp2M Master or IMGEdit (for GTA). When I start either one a message pops up saying,
"Preparing to install..." Then another message pops up saying, "This MSI must be launched through setup" [setup] Any attempts to close the program fail and I have to terminate it in task manager.. Now, i've tried running Ras-Mp2M Master in all compatibility modes and I have no luck with it. I'd use Rasmaker, but no matter how hard I try, I just can't get all that memorised. If anyone knows a way to stop these problems, please tell me. Also, if you know of any gui programs for MP2 similar to Ras-Mp2M Master, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know of it. Thanks, Kevin :Edit: I used RasMaker to extract the files from the MP2M I plan on editing. but I don't know what directory they went to.. Where do they put the files? |

Re: RasMaker problems
Okay, I would've edited, but the time limit's passed up.
Anyway, i figured out where it's extracting to, but for some reason, no matter what file I extract, it always extracts a 100mb, 425 file mod compliation I made of matrix mods. I even deleted the extracted folder and tried again... 2x... but it still extracts a matrix mp2m that no longer exists in the 1st place. What should I do?? |

Re: Ras-Mp2M Master
Use this to repack or create .ras files. This would probably be used in conjunction with the Unpack, so the file structure should remain the same. You may notice that I don't include the creation flags that RASMaker2 has. I was having some difficulty getting them to work properly (even from the command-line), so I'm using the flags necessary to create the .ras file and that's it. I may update future versions to include those flags. This extracts the files within the ras file to a given directory. Although it's possible to just extract the data to the folder you have the .ras file in, I don't recommend it. It ends up creating a bunch of files and if you don't know what you're extracting to, it will be tough to repack it later.
