What does it mean to be a really good player?
I think almost any game where you can save at any time is really lame. I finished the game on all difficulties first. Then I did New York Minute and Fugitive mode without using the save function once (the save that the game makes in between chapters doesn't count so in case I failed I started at that chapter over again).

To my dissapointment I saw that the aiming help feature had been turned on the whole time. What did I do? Started over and turned off all helps there were. Only to realize that now the game is REALLY hard.

Now I finished the game on Fugitive mode without the use of any in-chapter-saves like I described and this time no aids. It was hard work for me at least.

My question is: What would it mean to be a really good player? Has anybody managed to finish it without the use of saves on all difficulties with no self-saving? Tell me about other challenges I can try. Finishing only with Beretta? That sound like a tough one.

I haven't played the last difficulty level or New York Minute for Max Payne yet, but I know on MP2, it is quite possible to beat the game with only the auto saves. The game was quite easy compared to MP1. I think if you can finish all the NYM, then you can do it.

As for extra challenges, try using no painkiller...

C'mon - Playing the entire game with only a beretta - Are you nuts??? That is literally impossible...

When you have a guy thats about 100 feet away and your trying to kill him with a beretta - do you know how inaccurate the beretta is??? Plus - if he has a Kalashnikov - Your doomed.

I can go through the whole game and pass it (just like you did - but I've completed it literally a dozen times.) Here's an odd question... Can you talk your way through each map beforehand - stating what enemies are ahead - how many and what weapons they have?? Believe it or not - I can do that... (I can remember a complete game inside out, yet I can barely remember some of my classmates names... THe Mind is an interesting thing... )

Heh, I used to be able to do that when I was playing NYM nonstop just to beat my personal best. I haven't played in awhile and I bet if I start again, I'll know where the enemies are too

While I was testing the game and finding bugs before the release, I used to try to get through the levels without killing any enemies (except the ones you have to take out to proceed). That created some interesting situations with a lot of enemies activated and running around in levels...

Maybe that is something you can give a try.

ahh, I was wondering about that. I'll try that out on MP and MP2.

I beat the game using Dual Berretas only. Aiming isn't really a big deal in most situations, just apply BT2.0 and waltz through every level. I can finish off the first part in about 40 minutes. Entire game in about 2 hours.

Well my story is concerning MP1..

At first I knew there were some things called painkillers in the game, but never knew how to use them..until like almost the end of the game..I swear..believe me or not..I don't care.
