Duke fans and E3
hey guys,

First topic iv ever made because i have never felt the need to make one till now, and its about all the fans hoping and the rest of the fans slating the others.

Some members have decided alright thats it no more duke and have thus spread the word arguementitively through out the boards, theres nothing wrong with that in my opinion, time for them to move on.

Other board members have clung onto a theory that E3 will show DNF and show its a large media publicity stunt for attention and media coverage, I for one, would sit in this category as i would love for this to be true.

The problem as i see it is that those that arent fond of the idea of hope for DNF, are still on these boards, slating those who still have hope, " Duke is dead" " Never bet on duke" and all this rubbish trying to disshearten those that still have a little hope.

My problem is those ppl, If by all account E3 ends and theres no DNF insight, then majority of the fans will come around, but what do these " Haters" gain from spamming the forum with a load of negativity? They are right? Some members are wrong? A company has just made redundant a ton of employees and a potentially good game could never be released, but dont worry, these protestors were wrong everyone!

Then theres the case that DNF appears at E3, anyone feel like all these protesters might just jump back on the bandwagon? Because comon, the only reason you ppl are still browsing these forums is because deep down you hope that duke will live on in DNF or another game with he same potential.

but yeah ill throw my hands up on the 5th june and say bye to DNF if its nowhere to be seen, untill then there is always hope.

There's a difference between being a hater and facing reality. There will be no Duke at E3 or anything other showing. Even if DNF isn't dead, this version likely is, and it'll probably be many years before we see him again. They probably wouldn't have been at E3 even if none of this had happened anyway.

You know, I just thought of something.
Other then reports from the companies, have we heard anything from the actual courts on where its going to take place? Or, who's going to be judging?

I went, and Take Two's presence was a small meeting room in the West Hall. Nothing to see, really.

Hey you.

Some of us have spent over a decade here on this forum.

Some of us have stopped waiting for the Duke over half a decade ago.

Some of us have moved on to other games and activities since then.

Some of us would still love to play DNF one day. Yes.

But do we browse the forums in desperate search for a scrap of information about the release of Duke's next big adventure?

No.

Reality is not a game, it's a bitch, now deal with it.

Welcome to the forums btw.

Enjoy your stay.

Judge Charles E. Ramos, I believe is judging. He is supposed to be intelligent and efficient, seems it so far.

I come to the forums hoping GB will say something about the whole mess. I don't come here hoping the game will all of a sudden pop up out of thin air. I did that the 10+ years prior to 3DR's don't-call-it-a-closure-it's-a-downsizing event. DNF is dead, dead, dead. And the people venting have every single right to vent. It's not good to hold pent up anger inside anyways.

Don't worry guys. We have no reason to assume that DNF is dead just because it didn't show up at the E3. Miller and Broussard probably just forgot about the existence of this irrelevant little show once again.

Actually George is busy leveling up in WOW once again and Scott is visiting Walt Disney's head in that frozen container buried under Area 51.

Cmon George, find a way to get this game done and get this resolved one way or another with Take 2.
